GBG, at his age his memory isn't what it once was, you might need to remind him of what you posted 3 minutes ago.

My policies would be between me and the players. They would be fully aware of what is expected.

There would be no tweets.

There would be a standard of ethics, again that doesn't concern you, any discipline would be behind closed doors, proportionate, firm and fair.

My concern would be the performance of the players. If they performed to the standards I would lay down the fans would return in droves

Motivation is the key word.

Good ideas and sentiments Eric

Of course before I took the job as manager I would
need to know I could work with the chairman, my
ideas for a grand design for the club would have to
generally find agreement with his ideas.
It would have to a project with big ideas but realistic
at the same time and take into account the position
of the club/team in the locality and nationally...that
would be just the starting point.....

Your questions were specific AMS, you never asked what we would demand before we took the job on!

Well I'm trying to get people on here to have a 'grand
design' for the club...have emphasised that.
I want to read ideas of how they think a club should be
run instead of the easy criticism and cheap jibes and
insults we get!

Good effort, not as good as your effort on the wonderfully titled 'Bates latest interview' thread elsewhere on this board mind.

Which is it to be? In an earlier article you said:

"My interest is watching football after playing for many
years not trying to prove I'm Sugar's next apprentice!"

Here you say:

"Well I'm trying to get people on here to have a 'grand design' for the club...have emphasised that."

Maybe they, like don't want to prove they are Alan Sugars or anybody else's apprentice. Maybe, just maybe they like to put their opinions forward.

I took both St Mirren and Leeds to Title glory (and cup) glory on football manager 11.

I vote me.

I would prefer the Leeds Machine as we were once known.

Matty sounds best qualified on this thread!

I believe that MattyP has the best credentials on this thread 'now!' I retract my application, his logic is far greater than mine, and his knowledge of football matters outweigh any of the others that have posted on this thread.

Jonty if you have finished your homework, young
feller me lad, I would be interested in your ideas
your 'grand design' for managing a club, we hear
constant criticisms from you how about some
positive ideas? Erm and not your hobby horse LUFC
let's have something different for a change!
