Mr.Kato
I believe, due to injuries, tomorrow and into January will allow us to view yet another style of play!!
I'd call it the pro-evolution soccer style of play!
I'd probably call it 'fingers crossed' style
Did you know that an anagram of Simon Grayson is
Gay Minor Sons
Thanks for the input Frank. Much appreciated
Here's my input: Which one out of us here is hard right now?
He doesn't know what style of play best suits us & he doesn't even know what his best X1 is, even after 3 years.
Quite incredible really!

.....
What a load of crap.
No its true Frank the Plank, try attending a game for once & see for yourself, you might even enjoy it!
If the people who regularly attend games are so depressed with the way things are going at the moment or they hate Simon Grayson that much, just stop going.
Either go and give your all or shut up and stay at home.
It's the style of an attacking team, developed by McAllister, who are stifled by a negative manager who doesn't know how to set up a team to defend.
McAllister didn't really know how to defend either.
Well McAllister was an attacking manager.
But our defence was decent when he first took over, and I can assure you if he'd had the time Grayson has had, our defence would be a lot better.
Just thinking back to McAllister's teams and they remind me of the modern Arsenal since the invincibles. Very good football team, lot's of possession but ultimately very sloppy at the back and vulnerable from set pieces. Now McAllister wasn't helped by the fact he had 2 keepers who were liabilities (Casper and Lucas) but the defence were also very poor. Michalik was the weak link and as with the Collins signing under Grayson these type of players unsettle the whole defence.
Michalik was signed by Wise.
He was a bit like Titus Bramble, he had all the attributes but the concentration levels weren't always there.
Grayson signed Collins and played him ahead of the solid Bromby.
Casper Ankergren and David Lucas were both decent keepers, to call them liabilities at that level is ridiculous.
Arsenal had a bad spell at the start of the season but have come through it to become one of the form teams in the league. We would probably have done the same under McAllister.
Arsenal have improved these days as Szcesney is a fantastic keeper and instills confidence in the defence. Vermaelen is quality, Mertersacker and Koscielny are both decent defenders and Djourou adds depth.
On Bromby i don't rate him either (and i know he was signed by Grayson in lge 1) but do you really think he would still be here if he couldn't fill in at RB?
Casper was a terrible keeper in my opinion, he used to spill crosses, he was bad in terms of positioning and terrible at kicking and Lucas was even worse. Casper had some very good displays like at Old Trafford and some awesome displays like at Wembley and White Hart Lane but overall i was very concerned when he was our keeper.
Bromby was signed by Grayson on a 4 year deal for 250 grand and hasn't played right-back for 2 years.
Metersacker has been awful, he's been Arsenal's Collins.
I view Casper like David James, he was positive and could be brilliant, but when you come and don't get there it makes you look bad. But on balance he's a good keeper which is why he won the league with Brighton.
David Lucas was a solid keeper who won man of the match for us a couple of times. I can only think of a poor kick against Cheltenham that would count as a mistake.
'Bromby was signed by Grayson on a 4 year deal for 250 grand and hasn't played right-back for 2 years.'
Poor signing no doubt about it, and especially given the length of the deal.
'Metersacker has been awful, he's been Arsenal's Collins.'
I'm unsure on him in the prem as he proved with his error against Norwich, but i think he's the type of signing that can help them defend against set pieces and the long throws when they go to the Britannia. He always gets selected for a good Germany side so he must have some quality.
O'Dea always plays for Ireland, and Metersacker has looked dodgy for Germany.
I actually think Bromby has been one of Grayson's better signings, but he never plays him.
Michalik was signed by McAllister, not Wise.
After Brighton i don't blame him for not wanting to play Bromby again.
Brighton was just one game, name another bad game Bromby has had for us.
Michalik was brought to the club on loan by Dennis Wise.
It may have been made permanent by McAllister but I think it was a case of the deal already being in place and he saw no reason why not to go through with it, much like Showumni and Elding.
He soon realised Elding wasn't good enough and quickly fixed him up with another club, rather than leave him to rot as Grayson does with players.
I thought McAllister brought Showunmi in as an upgrade on Kandol. He scored on his debut away at Scunny with Beckford the other scorer but in the next game he was awful with Becchio replacing him and showing more class and establishing himself as Beckfords partner.
As for Bromby's other bad games i can't name any off the top of my head. However when i think of bad games that Michalik had the only one that comes to mind is the game against Carlise in the JPT final and everyone would consider him a poor defender. Overall though when you analyse the 2 players in a game you can come to a reasonable judgement on how good of a defender each of them are.
