Yes, he is clearly a bit shocked at the moment, by Leeds' attitude, and I think the comparison with Pearson is a good one. However, human nature is such that individuals can adapt to new situations very quickly.
I feel sure that Sven (and Andrew Neville) will be talking with the player, and if his attitude is at all negative, or even ambivalent, then we will look elsewhere.
I vaguely remember Fryatt saying something along these lines when he left for Hull. I dont think it means Schmichel ( I cannot spell his b****y name!!) doesnt want to come to us, he;s just explaining to the leeds numpties why he's leaving the best club in Europe (sic)
Thing is he said that he had an agreement to play out the last year of his contract. No brainer to sell him for £1m if the figure is correct.
God luck to him but I still feel he's not tall enough to become top class. Looks lost at corners and free kicks sometimes. Great shot stopper though and his distribution is first class.
Wasn't the an article somewhere that stated Leeds had spoken to his agent about opening discussions for a new contract in the future but were told or got the impression it didn't happen! Maybe I'm reading into things but maybe Leeds are not willing to meet what the agent had mentioned as a starting point in money so have cashed in before they loose everything!
Definitely reading too much into this.
If you were sat at your desk at work, thinking you were doing a pretty good job and then your gaffer told you that you'd been sold to a company down the road ...
.... you would probably express surprise, resignation .... then just get on with negotiating a good deal.
Joby your probably right in me and others reading way to much into it, however there has to be a reason why Leeds won't negotiate a new contract with him and will sell now! Maybe kasper was sat at his desk and then got the bad news after expecting to be talking to his employers about his new contract!
One thing I'm sure on is there is more to this than meets the eye! I just feel as a pro who looks like he is leaving one club and going to another it doesn't look food him making out this isn't want he wants!
