United have always been prone to odd defeats like this, even at their best. Forget about it and move on, and hopefully Sunderland can do us a favour today.
We have far too many injury prone players and it has started to effect the fit players who have to move position to accommodate.
Fletcher's illness and Vidic's leg break are down to bad luck.
But The brazilian trio are always injured or unfit, Rio has had his problems for 2-3 years now, Cleverley suffered injuries at Watford, Wigan and now with us.
Add the fact that Giggs is now not up to playing in 2 games on the bounce......and its a real concern.
The squad is only strong enough when everybody is fit. The trouble is that scenario will NEVER happen.
We need a defender and a midfielder in January.
People are making to much of the result, the performance was good but 3 shots 3 goals. We played better against Barcelona in Champions league final then blackburn played against us yesterday. We had over 70% territorial pssession 26 shots to 6 etc and only 3 were on target for them.
Each goal we conceded came out the blue. Football is a stange game, these games happen once in every 30 games complete domination but lose.
I agree - too much analysis of what team should have started versus the actual team. The bottom line is that we have a huge amount of injuries. Also, it may be a good thing with our terrific away form that we actually have the play the top five away in the second half of the season.
I can't believe people are covering up a complete tactical foepaux with some BS that it's freak result. The team, and tactics selected were wrong. that's why we lost.
Might I add rotating goal keeps every other game isn't really helping the matter. The third goal was a classic error from a keeper lacking confidence and experience.
