Peltier to Leicester

Pelts went well off the boil last season, which many believe was because he was denied a move to yourselves when he wanted to leave. That being said, he was still one of our most consistent performers whether he was playing in defence or midfield - when he played in midfield we looked much more solid because of his ability to track a man and make important challenges.

I presume you will be signing him as a full back seeing as that is his primary position. He was just decent last season by his own standards, as in the 09/10 season he was outstanding. If he regains that kind of form he will easily be good enough for a top end Championship team. He can run forever, is as strong as on ox and has a fair amount of pace as well. Defensively he can be caught out at times, but his pace often pulls him out of tricky situations. Great in the tackle, always willing to get forward to support his winger, and when he's confident enough he can deliver good crosses and take on a man too.

He will be a top, top signing for Leicester in my opinion, although I would not sell for anything less than £2m.

you were supposed to be signing him in january..
i think id wait and see what happens..

peltier had a great first season with us and has since tailed off..

still a good prospect but given he has played first team football for a few seasons he shouldnt be a "prospect" anymore he should be close to the finished article..

im just interested in what we can get for him..

What Cas said

Thanks guys, sounds positive.

Of course it's still just internet rumours at the moment, but apparently you have accepted a bid of £750,000, though some quote it as a £1m.

I think Cas went over the top in pelts to be honest , I wouldn't say he was great it the tackle at all , he give away far to many free kicks and pens , Cas do you work for Dean hoyle ?

It's coming out on another forum (DATM) that Pelts has had behavioural issues since Faz left for Leicester, feigning injury a lot - supposedly had several late fitness tests and passed them all. Post implies that before Faz left he got short shrift from trying this behaviour.

Can we have a link to the bid accepted , cos I don't believe you .

Loui, I did say I was using his first season as my example, when I think his tackling was brilliant. Last season, even though he was poor by his standards, he was still one of our better players.

Sorry Cas but I disagree with you for the first time in my life .

'Can we have a link to the bid accepted , cos I don't believe you .'

Like I said mate it's just internet and paper rumours, not saying it's true.

These ones say we could complete a deal or are close to one, not that you've accepted it.

Thanks , but I thought you said we accepted an offer , I already know about all the rumours going around , to be honest you have know chance of getting him for les than a mill , not saying he's worth that much but Lee Clark has said that in our local paper .

I said apparently you've accepted a bid, and I also said it was only internet rumours. I'm not claiming we've definitely signed him or anything like that but it's obvious we've shown interest so just wanted to know what you thought of him

Cas, in general agree with you but he could not get a decent cross in if his life depended on it, I cannot think of one decent example in either of the last two seasons, in fact I have commented before that someone needs to take him to the practice ground and teach him, then make him practice until he can do it in his sleep, IMO it is a key skill he has yet to fully master.........Think he could though, given the right coach

Lee Clark can really say all he wants Arro old lad! If Pelts wants to go, he's off......simples

All LC is doing is trying to drive up the price!

To answer your question, he is a very good player and will fit into championship very well. Sorry to see him go but money makes the world go round and our owner will want to make money. Good luck next season bud

yes, we could do with some luck..Injuries, offside goals, enough points to go up most years...you watch, we'll win the league this year and 2nd place will have about 75 points !!! Hmph !

If we get a mill for him it's the deal of the century , he really isn't that good .

Loui, when we have an injury crisis he can play anywhere along the back line as well as in midfield - that versatility alone makes him a valuable commodity. Add to that the fact that he has been one of our better performers 2 years in a row (he was only poor last season by the lofty standards he set in 09/10) and he is more than "good" in my opinion.

He turns up in big matches and that is the type of player we need if we are to get out of this league. I know last season he was "average" for a large part of the campaign, but in the big matches he turned up - apart from arguably Bournemouth away in the first leg where he was torn to pieces (but didn't look right after the nasty hit to the head he took).

He is a good player and will be missed, but we have signed the lad from Dunfirmline already as his replacement!

I wish him well when he does go, but lets move on!

posted on 21/6/11

Did he turn up in playoffs final , I didn't notice him .

posted on 21/6/11

What does he look like again I didn't notice him all season to be honest wi you Cas .

posted on 21/6/11

He was very good in the second leg before he got injured, and in the final he was the best of our midfield 3, actually made intelligent fouls rather than letting them get to the edge of our area before doing so.
