hope michael brown is very proud of himself
Part of the game snapski, doubt very much he meant to end his season. Worst possible outcome for us. Probably won't kick another ball for us. Expect to get a pittance under tribunal. Grates that we had to lose Hammill for 500k, now this
Exactly Royalbfc
There will be some ignorant fans that will say as snapski has, but at the end of the day it is part of the game, no fellow professional goes in aiming to end somebodies season. Brown is a defence midfielder, part of his game is tackling and he isn't scared of one, but he isn't going to go in to hurt somebody, he's going to go in to get the ball.
I disagree...Brown set out with the intent of hurting Butterfield. He had three goes at fouling him before finally wrapping his leg around Jacob's and dragging him to the floor AFTER the ref's whistle had gone.
Of course, I don't believe that Brown meant to SERIOUSLY injure him, but if you saw the look on his face as Butterfield was subbed is was 100% 'job done' smugness.
Brown is from the Vinny Jones breed of players - absolutely no talent whatsoever, but highly effective as a 'destructive' midfielder.
What worries me more is that Keith Hill almost commended Brown, saying 'Yes of course it was a foul, a professional foul...' followed by '...the type me and Flicker used to make all the time...it's part of the game'.
WHAT? No it isn't - maybe when Leeds last won a trophy it was acceptable, but I'd be ashamed if one of our players ended someone's season like that.
I wasn't as close as you, so can't comment on that. Maybe I just have more faith in human nature
i agree with madrush brown had at least three goes at butters they (leeds) came with the intent to play dirty as usual but this time it backfired on them

Maybe we will get him on the cheap now- What do you reckon- contract up in the summer?
Dirty, skint Leeds can't afford cheap....Admin looming I hear...
Spar, you should stay off forums because it would take just minutes to find out on line that leeds have made profit 4 yrs running and 1 of a handfull in England unlike yourselves.new financial rules next season will be even better for clubs that have turnovers like leeds,Barnsley on the other hand.
How much for Butters £100k
Butterfield is a decent footballer who:
a) Can play neat, passing football.
b) Has never 'clogged' anybody in his life.
c) Has an honest manager who likes to play football the right way.
d) Works for a chairman who has the CLUB at heart, not his wallet.
Therefore, and I ask you to answer honestly...
...please tell me why on earth he would want to come to Leeds...?
Butters Deserves a better and bigger challege with better players.
I gave points that you could not argue with, and you deleted it, you've just agreed with me by deleting my points.

Mad,if you can not see why any Barnsley player would not have his head turn if leeds came in then football is not for you
You think?
From where I'm sitting Leeds are a mid-table Championship side with a bent chairman, a clueless manager and a team seemingly intent on kicking their way to emulating Leeds' last successful side team of half a century ago.
Still, you get double our crowds so I guess that counts for something...
Trust me, Butterfield does not fit into your 'style' of play...the Stoke of the North.
It still burns from last year so you have to expect this kind of comment.
Doing the double over them and throwing a thrashing into the mix can`t have helped matters.
My advice is to put some butter on it.
Till we meet again......
