Whatever happened to that failed social worker, Phil McGollywinkle? He was the best source of factual Rangers news.

The lack of bad news surrounding the Gers at the moment must be hard for them to take.

i can honestly say im excited about what the future holds for us, whyte seems like a very sensible individual and im glad he kept his own council until he owned the club. Question lads obviously donald McIntyred Bain and co have been suspended. What has happened to John greig? Ive always had so much respect for him, i cant work outwhy he signed that statement and does it mean the end for him at ibrox

greig is to stay on as far as i know.

I like the way whyte handles himself so far. Doesnt take any nonsense. Reading his comments in paper etc, he has big plans and it is exciting times.

MOONBEAMS!

talking of moonbeams:

Celtic to move to cambuslang.

In the April 15 1992 edition (number 1167) of the 'Celtic View' the old board of Celtic FC announced bold plans for
a brand new stadium to comply with the Taylor Report, which by then was less than two and a half years away.
The 'Celtic View' ran with various hyperbolic headlines like 'Paradise Found' and (the incredibly patronising)
'World's Best Stadium for the world's best fans' - it all sounded too good to be true, but no, here it was - Celt's
£100m dream home. Our spiritual home at Parkhead was to be no more, we were moving to the new found land -
Cambuslang.
The plans revealed in April 1992 included:
A 52,000 all seater stadium
Two Park & Ride rail stations from Glasgow city centre
A retail village including major stores and car showrooms
Parking for 4500 vehicles
A Celtic Heritage museum
Integrated Sports and Leisure facilities
A permanent performance stage
Mobile acoustic curtain enclosing up to 15,000 seats
An eight-screen cinema complex
A 30-lane ten-pin bowling alley
Drive-through fast food restaurants
Petrol station
Office units
Room for further expansion

Could you imagine it, George Square coverd in that hideous Wasp strip all grabbing each other jumping up and doon registering 0.8 on the richter scale and the roof falls doon at Parkhead and they blame it on the snow.

But we are like its may there was no snow and no silverware and they would be like right that it we are taking you all the way to FARE.
