Kuyt for £10 million? Sessegnon Rumours.

Kuyt has been a good servant to Liverpool, raising his game in the big matches, that I've seen at least, but maybe its time for his Liverpool dream to end.

Question to Liverpool fans, in addition to the Man City match, has Kuyt been poor all season?

By his standards, yes.

yes General he has, he has yet to score and he has looked of the pace in many of the games he has played. However I know he is the wrong side of 30 but unless we can bring in a top winger in january I would give him a chance until January. Kuyt has this habit of often saving his best form until the 2nd half of the season. Last year is a good example plus if Carroll continues to misfir and we cant get anyone striker in we might need him to lead our strike force

Although if we turned this bid down I can't see us getting another higher than 5 next time around.

I think it's time so we can finance another signing to replace him.

kuyt has never fully won me over. after we signed him i took particular interest in the world cup happening that summer. i thought he looked an unlucky player, all his shots hit the post or were narrowly wide.

first i'd like to make clear i support anyone who pulls on our red shirt and wish them the best but after seeing him play for 6 years i now know he isn't unlucky, he just has poor technique and seems incapable of hitting a ball cleanly.

he works hard for the team and often pops up to score important goals. or so the saying goes. however i'm not convinced there aren't a lot of other players out there who would also work hard for the team, score an important goal or two and a lot more as well as also adding a great deal more creativity in a position which is almost a neccessity.

his control is as if he has bricks for feet, he has no pace, can't beat any defender and all too often drifts inside when he's supposed to be out on the right.

i'm sure he's a great guy off the pitch and yes he always gives everything for the team its just there are players out there who don't have to give everything to be an improvement. i'd accept 5million never mind 10million.

The God Fowler and redboychris, shame really as I've always enjoyed watching Kuyts slightly gritty but ever so effective impact on matches. Must be difficult for him when Carroll's not on form and Suarez is missing, a lack of creativity up front which he would normally feed off.

harsh yes, but not incorrect. he'll have my full support while he is a liverpool player but that isn't to say we can't do a lot better in that position.

if we manage to get a very good defensive midfielder for example why would we ever need a hard working, tackling, chasing player playing wide right when we have the dm to help protect the defence. we'd be much better served having someone out there with a lot of pace and skill so even when they do track back we can still break quickly.

we need to get kuyt off the right of midfield and if we are going to play him it needs to be central, either as a striker or behind the main striker to hold up the ball while we get numbers forward. he simply has none of the skills required to be effective playing wide right.

Dirk has more than repaid his transfer fee and I'm sure his work ethic and professionalism is appreciated by his fellow professionals and the management, but there is no getting away from it he's having a terrible season and is in now in his thirties.

I see fans giving Carroll and Downing pelters on here, but imo Kuyt has easily been one of Liverpools worst performers this season. My first touch is better than Dirks and I'm in no way exaggerating.

We need another striker, but to keep the balance of the squad I wouldn't be averse to see Kuyt leaving for the right price. Hard work and determination is great... but we also need a quality and finesse in the final third of the pitch which Dirk lacks.

He's a hero to some fans, but sentiment shouldn't come into it as Kenny's dropping of Carragher has illustrated.
