doumbia plays for cska moscow. is an absolute beast and young. he has been awesome in both the russian league and the champions league this season.

don.. check him out on that link.. i know youtube dont tell whole story, but still
I would expect Levy to try and wittle down the fee towards 10 million if there is any truth to this. Samba plus Hoillett for 15 mill is only a good deal if Hoillett performs at Spurs. Look at how Bentley and Pienaar did when stepping into a larger squad from almost guaranteed weekly football.
I just cant see Blackburn letting their, in effect, best 2 players leave in the Jan transfer window, whilst they're rock bottom.
If we cant attract any better players than these 2, neither will they - so why would they sell?

they might sell if they are forced to due to their missing of their 10 million loan repayment or whatever it was... they are supposedly in financial trouble
Apparently there are REAL problems at Blackburn with funding and the banks, as sad as it is we could probably get them both for £15 million, sad really, Blackburn are a good club
RRP,
I dont think the Venky's are, or ever were, as rich as they made out, are they?
Doumbia (15m) would be an amazing signing for Spurs.. If we can get him and Samba (10m) and maybe.. just maybe someone of the calibre of Tevez(30m) (or similar!!!!) and sell Pav(12m), Bassong(6m), Pienaar(6m), Gomes(4m).. with a net spend of 22m Thats a good bit of business to cement our standing in the 2nd half of the season.
Chicken - Its a right old mess, how they Venkys were even allowed to buy Blackburn i will never know
You should read the Blackburn board, you have got to feel for the fans ...They cant even play Jason Roberts or Salgado (SP?) as they will need to pay them more
Ste - That sounds amazing if a bit in fantasy land ...Apparently we are after Sow who i think is better than Doumbia
Doumbia (15m) would be an amazing signing for Spurs
--------
he would be an amazing signing no doubt - imagine him and coulibaly in the future !!!
but i think we will have to pay more than 15m... cska know how good he is and i think there are a number of clubs watching him
SantaChronic .. true.. very true.. but maybe pav would want to go to CSKA as part of the deal.. i think that would appeal to all parties.
CSKA are still in the CL, i couldn't see him wanting to leave right now to be honest, unless we offer big money and CSKA ask him to leave
Hoilett's contract expires in the summer so Blackburn have to cash in now really, would be an excellent addition and can cover both left wing and right wings...
I like the look of Samba and he would be a big upgrage on Bassong, we should keep in mind Caulker's prospects though who (despite injury) is looking good this season at Swansea - I reckon another season on loan and then getting him back to replace Gallas in Summer 2013 would be the best course for now...
RRP... CL vs Top 4 club in the Premiership with an almost nailed on guarantee of CL football next season... I think its worth a punt!!
Ste - Fair point! Although nothing is guaranteed in the PL!
Blackburn will cash in on Hoilett as i think its clear he wont sign a new contract, apparently Stoke are interested in him which is just madness with their usual Rugby style of play! Hoilett can pretty much play all over, Blackburn have used him in the VDV role and he has done well there
Not so much fussed about Hoilett.. Dont see him offering any more than we have already. Midfield is pretty packed out as it is (injuries aside) defensive and attacking options should be our aim for Jan.
Ste - Agreed we should be focusing on our attack and defensive, but i think we are trying to build the squad back up with the likes of GDS and Niko leaving, we will be left short without the likes of Hoilett coming in
Not to mention Harry will actually want to use him! Unlike Niko and GDS who are just taking up a seat on the bench
Its all about a striker this window though...

we definately need someone who can cover for bale/lennon.
noone else can. peinaar and niko are completely different style players and change how we play, for the worst.
look how unbalanced we look when lennon is out... because we only have pace and width on one side...
we are at our best with two quick wingers.
hoilett is the perfect man to step in when bale/lennon are out.
Very good points on both counts. But is it really something that needs adressing before the summer??
Our wing play is what makes us better than most in the prem right now but without the defensive CB options and someone besides/to replace Ade to stick in another 10-15 goals for the rest of the season I expect that our midfield shape can survive until July.
Still concerns me that we only really have Ade who is banging in goals or looking like he is capable. Although this last few weeks.. the harder i look.. all i can see is a black peter crouch!!
