There's a simple solution - go back to not606 - it's not rocket science.
It should be with the amount of time it's been going!! fgs - this website is only 4 days old and has 3,500 signed up already!!
I know where my money's going for winning the day in the end. JA606 is much more user friendly.......
Having tried it all I can say is that you're more than welcome to not606. Not for me, or I suspect many (soon to be) former 606 contributors. The moderating is draconian and seemingly totally irrational, the layout is uninspiring and the stupid avatars and flashing images are really, really annoying. Plus a lot of people have just used it as an excuse to write obscene and totally irrelevant junk. Basically it's just like any other message board, and the reason most of us joined 606 was precisely because it wasn't like other message boards. Like Leeds Fan, I reckon that if most people are going to end up leaving the beeb for anywhere then this will be the place.
Everyone is getting a bit territorial over which forum they prefer - I like ja606 and very much hope they address the niggling snags such as having to sign back in all the time, but the thing is it doesn't have to be an either/or all of us can use all the forums, I intend to
I registered on not606 and it's not very good. This is definately the way forward.
Well, I have no problem with this one.
I guess after 500+ posts on not606 I have made myself at home there.
Here is good, i'll be interested to see how it picks up
Agree with foxandy.
Whilst the content needs to improve as word spreads I hope this is the winning site.
I'd imagine it was done to prevent the system crashing during it's first few days. I'm sure it will be remedied.
One thing's for sure, I'm giving the the whole Summer and will have settled on ONE Forum by the time the new Season begins....
When I heard that the BBC were closing 606 I started looking for an alternative. It didn't matter which one I tried none were as easy to use or had as uncluttered a design as the original. I'd resigned myself to giving up the forums altogether. Now I've found JA606 I'm happy again.
