I agree the media do overrate him but he is still a very good player has been very good this season.

So I am guessing Van Persie is the only striker who has performed to a decent standard (bit crap maybe) and then every other striker in the premiership has been crap all season...
Everyone outside of maybe a select few are actually crap, Messi and Ronaldo are fairly good, Xavi and Iniesta are occasionally good.

In shocking new news Man Uniteds best player is actually completely average, so I guess it must just be the referee's that give us all the games...
Either that or the majority of players in the premiership are way below average, with maybe Van Persie just about hitting the standards we call average...
Considering Vidic, Jones and so many of our other players are overrated... what are we doing ? drugging the opposition before every match to make our average players look better ?
