Said a few weeks back united would sign modders £35-40m.............Deal will be done in the summer.
He is not worth 50 million.

I can't. I have a brain, I'm not racist and don't vote BNP so I wouldn't meet entry requirements

Thought you were over this #freeluka malarkey
as if some of you wouldn't take 50m a reasonable price would be 30m.

I am, but I will not drop it till you surrender 3rd and start losing games
In all seriousness though, a lot of Chelsea fans (me included) although disappointed we didn't get Modric fully supported your clubs stance. I don't like to see players dominate clubs, I am sure Modric can turn it around and become a fan favourite with you Spuuds again
To be honest I'd take 50 million, with Parker or Sandro next to Huddlestone he'd be able to express his passing ability.
For 50 million I probably wouldn't be to disappointed if he left so long as the money was reinvested into the squad...He's good but he's not that good.
I'd be even happier if that 50 million sped up the new stadium!
Wenger's Wife
When someone or something is not for sale, there's no such thing as a reasonable price. Modric is vital to the way we play and the price would have to meet his value and then persuade us to sell.
I wouldn't take any money, to be a big club, we need to act like it. Saying that, this is a article written by a , full of speculation and no fact whatsoever.
I wouldn't take £50m - even though he's not worth it. It's not about money it's about ambition & statement of intent. We already sold Carrick & Berba to Utd in recent years when they were key players for us. Man U want to make a statement of intent to please Rooney? What about our statement of intent for the fans, are we moving forward or forever selling our prize assets? Utd are a bigger club than us and could maybe offer him silly money. But we need to start breaking the wage structure or at least increasing it if we wanna remain at the top end. Football wise we are virtually on a par with them now. Should both be in the CL next year and challenging for PL. If we played them tomorrow we'd destroy them. No to the money, give him a big pay rise and keep moving forward. (if we somehow make a balls up of top4 this year then I accept he will have to move on).
I love the rational that non Spurs fans use, that we should be happy with £50mil and let him go to Utd/Chelsea. Why on earth would we as fans want to sell him for ANY price during the season when we have a chance to finish above one of, or even both of, these clubs?
Obviously a hell of a lot of hard work remains, but we are on course to beat our highest Premier League finish, and simply for that reason, I would say no to any amount. And any Spurs fan who thinks we should accept a bid for him is an idiot.
Haha, The Fail at it again, their Spurs hating lazy Journos never give up do they.
Well yes...the Daily Mail and perhaps the same writer that did all the stiring last time, after he was banned from the Lane.
Official offer from Man Utd !!??

You whiney little girls blouse !!!
If Chelsky are so greedy for 3rd, give us Sturridge and we'll talk ...
My stance on Modric is that if we fail (and it is in our hands) to qualify for CL next year, then it might be necessary to sell him and rebuild. However at £50m it might be tempting.............................would have thought we would do a deal if they throw in Jones & Cleverly!!
However as suggested, lets qualify and give him a salary increase.
