Gobern for me stood out after Jordan
threw a pie at jordy hahaha sore losers
i think everyone pulled together and complinented each other with good performances. gobern stood out for me but ive thought that every week since he came back into the team.
Gobern for me also. Not a fan of Miller at all but he looks a better player next to Gobern - whose calm, clever passing maybe suits Miller.
Only slight problem with Gobern is he looks a bit hit-and-miss - he's had a couple of stinkers at home - but in general he has a touch of class about his game and we haven't had a 'classy' midfielder for as long as I can remember.
I'd say McCombe and Novak were the 2 who stood out for me behind Rhodes, but Miller did have a good game.
A town fan threw a pie at him.
a town fan haha what a muppet. wasnt 38 was it?
For god sake, lets take it to every team we play now! Starting with Oldham on Saturday! They are notorious for drawing at the Pharm!
i dont eat pies.... miller and gobern had a fairly easy day.. im not convinced, they spend too much time too deep and they tend to get next to each other in the wrong place too often..
they have had much sterner tests and were found wanting..
see how they go if the start a few games together..
Pld 20 W2 D7 L11....not really 'notorious' ?
5-0 to town.
Last season Oldham came to make it a niggly affair that was horrible to watch and Town just joined in, we do it too often. They'll do the same this season but we need to stick to our guns and play football.
we need to stick to our guns and play rhodes and novak using as near the attacking system we used on friday as we can..
they will be hoping for long hopefull stuff up to alan lee..
Now LC has found the magic formula, lets hope he will stick to it. Why change a winning team, especially 6-0 away !
If we win he doesn't change it because there is no blame to be laid at anyone's door. That's the way he works.
Saturday will probably be the same dull, home grind - first misplaced pass will draw a huge groan from all the old Knobeds, the confidence will drain out of all the flair players, and on and on ...
bob..
there is a graon at every football club in the land everytime there is a sh-te pass or a bad piece of control.. you hear it every game, every week on tv..
its not just town..
confidence comes from within....true self belief cannot be harmed by outside forces...(chinese proverb)....
numba fordee ate with flied lice...
They haven't got true self belief - that's part of the problem - the manager drains it through his blame-culture and the crowd don't help with their impatience and ignorance.
Chinese proverb say that down at the Galpharm we don't want skill, we want big tackle, we don't want pass, we want big kick.
When you here fans screaming angrily at our most skillful player to "get stuck in!!!" and cheering when hero Alan Lee bangs into someone ... well, you just wonder.
The fans need educating....
Stuck in a time warp we are..sophistication passed us by up here in't north.
'Give 'im some bloody clog !'
that's about our level...
