newyankee44 have you not heard he's gonna get the wolves job
I very much doubt that nortonbri.
If we were to get relegated how many of us would have him back to rebuild again? Me for 1
Not me lanzo, NY i think his recent record at rovers may have hampered his job prospects although he is a stubbon picky sod on location etc so will probably wait till the bournemouth job comes up!also the teams mentioned never invited him for interviews (as far as im aware as the clubs new who they wanted) it was just media speculation
SOD was offered the Bristol but he turned it down.
Just made enquiries and SOD has turned the Preston job down as well.
So he is getting offers but turning them down
I don't suppose he is still getting paid by Doncaster is he? If so how long for? Maybe he is just enjoying his time off!!
You've all answered my question which was whether he was unemployable or was he picky, it turns out he is picky about where he goes.
NY, I was concerned that maybe clubs would think that Sean could not take the pressure after the last few weeks at Donny and that would make it difficult for him - but I think his career record shows that he can handle pressure - just think he needs to be able to do things his way and maybe not too many clubs will give him the level of control he feels he needs.
perhaps, once bitten twice shy?
The man has got principles and sticks by them.
He's a football man through and through.
and still nobody knows his version of things!
Hey Nort6onbri
I see that the Wolves owner has given Mick McCarthy the dreaded vote of confidence, so look to that position becoming vacant and maybe you'll be proved right.
Perhaps its the other way round and the clubs mentioned wanted someone who had a 'Plan B'
Graham Westley taking Preston Job after Stevenage, I remember him owning Farnborough and also managing them in Conference Days. Eastleigh Cup Final 7 - 0 agg. He is taking his assistant with him and also his first team coach . - - - Dino Maamria (now then how about that one then/)
You can understand why he would not want to go to a struggling League 2 club. Did he not reach a settlement with DRFC on his contract? If so, it will be important now for him to get a job fairly quickly. League 1 is probably his most realistic option and getting Rovers promoted from there is in his favour, but if you look at the clubs outside the top half dozen or so none are likely to have the resources that were available here which he could use for development. Possibly Stevenage might want him and the challenge there might appeal to him. Have they got any money I wonder?
