Good to see him move to a side like Everton as oppossed to yo-yo side who will be up and down from the Premier league to a Championship side.
This is his chance now to prove himself
Good to see his new team mate at Everton Shane Duffy make his full league debut during the week as well
Ha Ha have to laugh at some of the comments on the NIreland board about Gibson . Here's a good one..... "The bottom of the EPL i.e Swansea, Blackburn, QPR beckons for Gibbo lol..............
Then the SPL then the Championship, Division 1 etc etc.............."
The thing is if Gibson hadn't got a senior cap for the ROI Michael O'Neill would be pestering him as well to switch over to the Norths side !!
Gibbo is too fat, too slow and simple not good enough for either the Premier League or Ireland. He'll get the occasional game for Everton and will leave them in a year or two and start to slide down the divisions.
For once I agree with Megan.
Bit harsh Frankos. Gibbo's alright.
Frankos give him time, in his favour he does have a powerful shot on him. The only reason you know who has it on for Gibson is down to bitterness over the fact Darron chose the Roi over the North!
Give the fella a chance Franko! We aren't exactly blessed in the middle of the park, regular football at this stage of his career might just bring the best out in him. He must've had something to be at United in the 1st place and for all his knockers he had some good games for them, he was just never going to be good enough to play fot them every week.
A lot of Arsenal fans wrote gibson off after his first half season. (They deny it now.) I'd bet a lot of money you'd be on here slamming him if we re-wound the clock. Gervinho's finishing is g.,.,ash at the moment, but we shouldn't write him off just yet

Considering he just signed for everton, this comment doesnt make sense
How does it not make any sense Derry??? Gibson is useless and will be found out pretty quickly at the Toffees.
Give him a chance Frankos. Lets reserve judgement after he has had a consistent run in the Everton side.
If he was as bad as you make out surely he would have been signed by a Championship or League 1 side
if he was fat and not good enough for the PL then nobody would have signed him. Moyes and Ferguson obviously see something that many others do not.
Whatever people think of Gibson i still rate his thunderbolt against Wales at the Aviva during the Carling Nations Cup last year as the best goal scored at the stadium since it was reopened Look it up on You Tube if you need reminding!!
And I rate Paul Green's goal as the bravest international goal (Vinny Arkins and Stephen Geoghegan scored braver goals for Rovers) ever scored at the RDS since football was invented. Look it up on youtube......he's still sheeeeiiiite though.
same people talk, would you tell the police everyting you knew at once
LondonDub,
Bang on the mark cheif.
Nice boost for him tonight anyway!
Great goal alright. Thrilled for him lol lol lol
