why settle for what we've got?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because you have to live within your means. Thats the bottom line. The cahill transfer saga has proved that, look at his wage demands and he ain't even that good
I've found a solution to our striking problems!!!
Sack Les Ferdinand!
Half the goal was open and he still managed to kick it at the keeper!
Because you have to live within your means.

You also have to speculate to accumulate. So we play it safe now and risk Ade not finding form again.. to be honest I know you're right but losing CL football to City last season was a feeling I don't want again!
one player wouldn't break the bank and it might just give the whole team a lift.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trust me Levy is no fool and if a top grade striker becomes available who is within our reach wages wise then we will sign him, I dont doubt that for one second.
Push the boat out for Tevez, he'd lift the team.
Tevez
I'm hoping you're right Grand, i'm sure we'll be in the top 4 come May.. just could do without a heart attack before then!
You also have to speculate to accumulate
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Could not agree more but you cant bring somebody in on 100K a week that would totally ruin the team spirit and confidence that you mentioned earlier
Forgot the wage thing could destroy team spirit, scrap the Tevez thing
Tevez like he will sign for 75K a week.
Grand
There's two sides to every coin- assuming the 100k a week came in and scored that goals that secured us a top 3 position I don't think there'd be too many complaints

Bale's - We know we could do better in the shooting stakes. It's however harsh on us when we did our bit in scoring what should have been enough goals to get the win. The ref unfortunately didn't do his bit and we suffer the consequences.
No team is always going to play well but this was an instance where we should have "won ugly" which the top teams are often praised for.
The bottom line is obvious, we need this new stadium ASAP!
Frimpong is a over-rated idiot that would never get picked for England because he's a liability that should of been sent off, referee too lenient. I'd pay to watch someone punch that idiot in the face.
*the goals
Spurtle - I know what you're saying mate - it was definitely harsh how things went against us.. I don't think it's reasonable to blame 1 or 2 decisions for the result though
As I was saying earlier - the margins for the top teams are so fine.. winning ugly means having top class players that remain consistent under pressure, in every position.

Depends on how you look at it cos if I were Bale, Modric, VDV or one of our other top players and somebody came in and was paid 25k a week more than me he would not score many goals cos he would be playing on his damned own
Arsenal seem to be breeding ground for
You're mean Granspurs!
Again, two sides.. if that player guaranteed you'd be playing in the Champions League the next season you might be inclined to help him out a bit
NEGREDO! NEGREDO! NEGREDO!

I would not care if he guaranteed me a flight to the moon after I had run my nuts off for two thirds of a season to get us where we were if somebody came in on 25k a week more than me I would have a transfer request in before the ink had dried on his contract
Grand
Fair play fella, makes me wonder if the contract on the table for Modric actually exists in reality
All this will come to a head if Ade doesn't start scoring.
Get in a player that has a different agent to all the other players so they don't find out (there we go Chet!)
Bale's - I disagree, if they are big match-changing decisions it is reasonable to blame them. Their goal I can kind of handle because the award of a corner wasn't as much of a direct influence on the goal (we had the chance to defend it). Unlike a goal being scored legitimately and ruled out.
Spurtle
We'll have to agree to disagree on this one fella
It's reasonable to mention it, and understandable to be annoyed by it but we conceded a soft goal from a corner. It's irrelevant whether or not it actually was a corner - the ref didn't hand them a penalty.
The disallowed goal could and should've focused the lads on the pitch to making sure we beat them. We couldn't manage it for a lack of poor finishing and defending en masse by Wolves.
