5s every top team drops points from time to time, today was our turn
We still played well enough to put most teams to bed. The only thing I fear is that in the games where we get few chances, I dont rely on Ade to finish them.
fool. arsenal will win tomorrow. you will be lucky to finish above arsenal i really mean it.
The thing is don that has become our minimum expectation now.
This is fast becoming our best season in recent history with the best squad ever. We have to look at winning the title now as we're over half way through the season and are 2pts of the top. We need to up our game to a new level to keep competeing with the man/cs
Still gotta be happy tho
@AssouEkotto
Sh !t result! Dont need it now! But we cannot win every game... My both ankle is pain full -((( LOL Fokus on man city now
Gotta love the passion
You are spot on! Maybe we are getting carried away with how well we have done so far, but CL is the target and if we do that we will all be happy, especially if we can finish 3rd and avoid the qualification round.
Of course, the icing on the cake would be for Newcastle to finish 4th and Stoke 5th, but that may be a bit much to ask for !!!
No godfather, you will not win tommorow......you are king bottlers and have proved it once again this season that you can't take advantage of other teams misfortunes. Swansea will either win or draw tommorow, Arsenal are not good enough this season for a top 4 place
hengy, i would happy with 4th mate aslong as we get into that top 4. No doubt winning the title would be special but i don't think this will happen. 3rd place would be outstanding though
Don - yes I agree 4th would be good but will be a little disappoint after the season so far.
Hopefully we can bring in a few players as Harry don't trust anyone bar Defoe on his bench as you could see it needed changing but he had no one to come on. Niko should of came on for Parker/vdv/bale he could of done something
I agree with every word Don apart from where you say 6 points is a big gap. Don't get me wrong any Chelsea or Arsenal fan would rather be in your position and you are playing great football and quite honestly better than us both at the moment but 6 points in January is not that big.
We have an early kick off on Saturday so if we were to beat Norwich (which is possible) then we would be 3 points behind you.
Bearing in mind you would still have City, Liverpool, us and Arsenal all to play away from home and then resurgent sides like Sunderland and QPR away from home too 3 points is not irretrievable for a team of our stature
I agree with you though in that top 4 is your minimum target and you are way on course for that. I also think Swansea will take at least a point off Arsenal tomorrow btw
Liverpool and Newcastle are no danger to you at all and the only threat to you IMO will come from us and Arsenal.
Definitely advantage Spurs but by no means over for us or Arsenal
At least a point? Surely you mean at least 2
Tottenham's next ten fixtures.
City (a)
Wigan (h)
Liverpool (a)
Newcastle (h)
Arsenal (a)
Man U (h)
Everton (a)
Stoke (h)
Chelsea (a)
Swansea (h)
Let the tottering continue.
oh i agree bubbles but i still believe 6 points is a very good gap in my opinion. Yes we have tough games coming up but you ( chelsea) are not guarunteed to take advantage if we do drop points. As you know you have occasionally struggled against the smaller teams this season so who knows what your score will be against Norwich? All i am saying is we are in a very comfortable position right now, we can still drop points v City and still be 3rd. Personally i don't think we will drop as much points in the "hard" games as everyone keeps saying we will. We are more than good enough to go to Anfield and win like we did last season, Emirates we can easily get atleast a draw and i'm quietly confident of a positive result at eastlands next week.......the bridge on the other hand
Playing teams like City and Liverpool suits us, they won't park the bus like wolves
Tottenham's next ten fixtures.
City (a)
Wigan (h)
Liverpool (a)
Newcastle (h)
Arsenal (a)
Man U (h)
Everton (a)
Stoke (h)
Chelsea (a)
Swansea (h)
---
Wow. If they are still 3rd after that then will definitely finish top 4 at the least.
kentspur, personally i think we will turn Liverpool over with ease at Anfield mate......no suarez for them either and they have no fire power upfront at all
I think 19pts out of that lot
Pool are worse at Anfield than they are away as well.
AuHasard
Spurs will do well to win any of those away games but equally I think all their home games bar Man U are pretty much nailed on home wins
City (a) - draw
Wigan (h) - win
Liverpool (a) - draw
Newcastle (h) - win
Arsenal (a) - lost
Man U (h) - lost
Everton (a) - win
Stoke (h) - win
Chelsea (a) - draw
Swansea (h) - win
Wolves should have been a nailed-on home win too, but once some doubt starts to establish in the mindset of the players, then who knows what can happen.
The moment Redknapp starts giving out about players, then you'll know the game is up.
Agree Don, we might not take advantage and we also have some tough away games ourselves. It will close though
Kent
I know Liverpool are pretty much your whipping boys these days but at Anfield on a cold Monday night 8pm they can never be understimated.
I was certain City would turn them over but they didn't.
The last time Spurs went to Anfield on a Monday Night, Liverpool were without Gerrard and Torres and still won comfortably.
apart from chelsea away and United at home ( which we never get anything from ) i am actually pretty confident in all those games. Like i say, we will give city an awesome game next week and i expect us to come away with atleast a point

Way on course for a top 4 finish...
