In comparison how much did City spend to get into the top 4?

"this was a Liverpool team that all ready had Reina, Johnson, Agger, Lucas, Gerrard in it when he arrived, by most fans these players would be seen as World Class."

Reina and Gerrard at best.

Your squad was nowhere near as good as the time when you had Alonso, Mascherano, and a firing Torres.

JH has said that he will be disapointed with lack of champs league so yes he will have to go. Suarez was a Camoli/Hodgson buy and he also left Camoli to go and buy Enrique after Kk was shown the blue door when he enquired about Baines. Basically KK has been a total and complete disaster in the transfer market.

City were MILES behind top 4 standard. Liverpool have dipped a little below par, and have wasted a lot of money on some mediocre players. Though I admit Henderson is young and has potential to do well. But theres no excuse for the others.

Firstly
The 'sums' you start with HAS to include the sales, therefore Kenny has spent £35m and slashed the wage bill, all things considered
Secondly
Lucas is our current player of the year, on merit, so his and Gerrards injuries have both been in the CM area, obviously hurting Lfc more than, say, 4 or 5 injuries in other areas to lesser players!
Thirdly
A cup win was never ever on the radar under Hodgson so Kenny has to be praised for our unprecedented run of away victories in the cup this season!
Lastly
The chances created and woodwork striking are reasons to believe that this 'work in progress' is moving forwards gradually and for a bit of confidence/composure in front of goal we will be in the mix for the top four, I'm not giving up hope yet and I honestly cannot see anyone better equipped to lead Lfc through this transitional period!

Sammylee, well said. A blast of fresh air into the turgid blogs, all claiming doom and gloom. Work in progress, indeed. If only some people could display more patience, the world would be a better place. YNWA JimmyTheRed

I'm not going to take into account the money he has brought in from sales because to me it doesn't matter, it was reinvested.

This is one of the dumbest statements I've seen on here all week, up against some serious competition.

Dalglish has spent approximately £30m in real terms and has turned around performances and risen expectations in ONE YEAR.

The time to judge him this season will be at the end of the season, not after a disappointing result which brings out the kneejerking fickle Liverpool-lite supporters.

Spot on PPD. All these people come out of the woodwork after a poor perfromance.

When we beat Man City on Wednesday, and are now one game away from a Cup final, where were these people? All basking in the joy of a win no doubt. There were no Dalglish out articles, there were no articles about how poor the signings had been but suddently a draw against a team who had no intention of playing football, who from the first minute to the last sat with 9 men behind the ball, and suddenly everyone is not good enough.

It really is ridiculous.

Plus stoke are our Bogey team. I remember when Gerrard scored from a free kick and it wasn't given for a foul inside the box. Stoke are frustrating hard to beat.

OP

Kenny has a contract given to him by FSG. He will be allowed at least another full season to improve on this season (which is only half way) We need to stick together and support our club. Do you really think we are not going to lose games. We drew with Stoke. So what?

Its the tactics that are screwwing everything up
