Predictor Table weeks 19 - 23.

+++++++ANALYSIS+++++++

Firstly let me start by saying that we are going to have a new champion this year. SOUTHSIDEBLUE our current champion has dropped out of this years competition meaning we will have a new champion. A problem being able to post regularly at work has afflicted the participation of our champion but on the basis that he fluked last years competition he was always unlikely to defend his title

WEEK 19 - 17-18th December 2011

A high scoring week for a lot of predictors with some outstanding predicting by a select number of players. 35 players took part giving us a total of 210 predictions. All but 9 of the player managed to score double points with our top three scores being 23, 20 and 19 respectively.

In any week picking four correct scores out of 6 will always be a good week and so it proved for JUTEBHOY68 who was only let down from getting all 6 results right by failing to predict a draw in the MOTHERWELL v ST MIRREN game. Still 23 points is a massive haul and set the tone for what was a very good festive period for JUTEBHOY68.

Having been outdone there is no shame for our second placed predictor this week, GHODFATHER who amassed a healthy twenty points. What was even more impressive was that this involved picking the correct result in all 6 SPL fixtures with one correct score making an impressive point score for GHODFATHER. A LOGIEB clean sweep as it is known in this game. Still awaiting though a player to get all 6 scores correct.

ORIGINALMACC and MCCANNSTOLEMACOOKIE both scored 19 points both being helped by picking two correct scores each.

Nobody predicted Hearts to win 4-0 so whilst we got a correct result in each fixture as a group we did not get at least one correct score in each fixture as a group.

WEEK 20 - 24th December 2011

In contract to week 19 this was quite a low scoring week with 33 players taking part this week. A majority of players (19) scored single figure points. to be fair the fact that there was a postponment probably didn' help scoring. that along with a shock win for St Mirren lowered the score for most players.

Only two players predicted a win for St Mirren and both picked the correct score. One of those SCOTSCELT also had a correct score in the Inverness game helping him to the highest score of 16 points. This was matched by three other players LITTLEMISSCELTIC, TROLLFECKER and ORIGINALMACC. Unfortunately SCOTSCELT has missed the last couple of weeks meaning that he was unable to build upon that good week. the other three players though all had a good festive period helped by picking up a good score in a tough week.

In total we had 19 correct score predictions. We had a correct result prediction in each fixture but not a correct score in each fixture. Nobody who took part failed to score any points.

WEEK 21 - 28th December 2011

Again the fixture list was hit with a postponment meaning that there were only five fixtures. Again 33 players took part and again scoring was generally low. It is of no surprise considering there was an OF fixture that it was those of a green persuasion that scored highest generally this week. All Celtic fans predicted a win for their team and were duly rewarded for their prediction. Two players LITTLEMISSCELTIC and PEARSONIFICATION predicted the correct score as well. It is almost like the mirror opposite of the first OF game where all Rangers fans predicted a Rangers win. Nobody has yet broke from tribal loyalty and predicted against their side.

The top score this week was only 14 points.. Only 10 players manged to score double figure points. Three draws out of the five fixtures didn't help on that front. Our top scorers were JUTEBHOY68 and ALBA STEVIE. Again both have done well over the festive period by scoring well not only on good weeks but these tougher game weeks. Despite it being a tougher week we still had 20 correct score predictions with at least a correct result predicted in every fixture. Nobody though picked 0-0 in the Aberdeen game.

For the first time in a while two players failed to score any points, they probably know who they are so don't think I need to shame them here.

WEEK 22 - 2nd January 2012

A new year and yet again another postponemnt in the SPL meant that again there were only five fixtures to predict in. 34 players took part this game week and everybody who took part scored points. We got a correct result prediction in every game although nobody got 5 out of 5 predictions correct.

Our top scorer was I STILL SEE NO SUBS who scored 16 points, the next highest score was 14 points which was achieved by three players LITTLEMISSCELTIC, CHARLIEHARPER and KAISER. Overall we had a healthy 27 correct score predictions and most posters scored double figure points with 11 points being achieved by a lot of posters. The 3-0 win for Celtic was a common score prediction.

Again though, those who done well were those who done well over the festive period and this is reflected in the updated table.

WEEK 23 - 14th January 2011

A full set of fixtures and in total we had 31 players taking part. Our top scorer with 17 points was THE TIMINATOR followed by HENRIKS FOREHEAD and RANGERS5752 with 15 points. All 3 got 5 correct predictions with THE TIMINATOR picking the correct score for the Rangers game.

Again quite a high scoring week for most players assisted by fairly predictable results but not many correct score predictions (only 13 in total). There was at least one correct result prediction in each fixture but three of the fixtures failed to attract a correct score prediction. saying that if anybody had picked Hearts to win 5-2 I would have thought they were cheating

Nobody who took part failed to score and again nobody picked 6 out of 6 results.

OVERALL

Our top scorers over the festive period were JUTEBHOY58 with 71 points, TROLLFECKER with 69 points, I STILL SEE NO SUBS with 66 points and ORIGINALMACC and GHODFATHER with 64 points.

JUTEBHOY had a dramatic climb up the table from 11th to 4th. TROLLFECKER regained his lead at the top of the table. ORIGINALMACC and GHODFATHER also climbed a healthy 6 places in the table as well. I STILL SEE NO SUBS also climbed a healthy 6 places in the table.

A couple of players who just havent predicted over the festive period were our biggest fallers but as they have predicted fairly regularly up till now the competition remains open to them.

The top two have opened up a bit of a gap but with 15 rounds of fixtures plus a couple of rearranged games to go it is still all to play for in the 2011-2012 Predictor.

As ever any queries then please ask. There was a lot of data to go through so there is always the chance of a mistake being made. Feel free to leave a comment even if it is only bigging yourself up. as ever feel free to gloat/mock accordingly.

McCann FFS

I'll add those points on at the next update, I did wonder if you had got lost on the way back from Antartica.

NNH, why not, there is a space to be filled so just leave your predictions on the main article.

If you and Ghod want to have a side competition of winner from now to end of season i'll keep a tally of that to give you some interest because you will be miles behind otherwise
