Martin Jol has suggested he could have ushered in an era of success at Tottenham had it not been for the interference of Damien Comolli.
I dont see the problem at all with him saying this?
I hated Comolli at the time of BMJ's departure. With hindsight he brought in some good players. Daniel Levy made a bold move to replace the continental DoF/Manager setup when he appointed Harry (and sacked Comolli & Ramos) and returned to a traditional setup. Disregarding transfers, to date Harry's delivered for Spurs but I can't help wondering how Martin Jol would have done with the current crop of players and no interference from a continental director of football. In his interview he clearly states his views on the subject!

agreed.
also agree with your comments about MJ though.
Comolli may well have signed some good players but he also signed some poor ones, and I am glad he has gone.
Lets hope his scatter gun approach to transfers helps Liverpool fall apart, and it looks like he has already started with the £20m purchase of Henderson.
Liverpool are talking of £20m for Downing now
