you might still get marshall if he stops peeing about over his stoke contract.
I agree with Tez on this, our problem here is that we can't do much to influence the situation. If Marshall signs for Stoke then we will probbaly get him back until the end of the season, if not we have to decide whether or not to buy him and that will be driven by how much others are willing to pay and to offer him.
Until Marshall decides which option he wants, there's sod all we can really do, though I don't think the up turn in Madine's was was exclusively or even largely due to the arrival of Marshall. Additionally, if (for whatever reason) we can't get Marshall I think we will get someone else of comparable ability either permanently or on loan
Probably another case of agent/player greed...Hold out till summer when out of contract and pocket a sizable chunk of the transfer fee that clubs are willing to pay now, as a signing on fee.
Football will eat itself....
sparty... im not sure who has the upperhand here marshall or stoke. if he doesnt sign the contract in the next few days then stoke will circulate his name throufhout the football league and want to sell to the highest bidder cos if not the chances are theyll get nowt in june. question is does he have to leave if stoke accept an offer?
or is marshall well within his contract rights to sit on it and complete his contract term?
When though? We've being saying this for years now and the transfers and money thrown around gets ever more ridiculous, while clubs routinely go to the wall.
I'm not sure I buy this "football will perish" bit, it seems to be one of these statements thats used ad infinitum - akin to gas being about to run out in 40 years for the last 60 years.
Clubs have struggled but very few have disappeared entirely, a number have had a very hard time and had to reinvent themselves - AFC Wimbledon for example, but not many have ceased to exist entirely - Maidstone would be the only example I could think of
Stoke have offered Marshall a contract.............the one thing that noe can't happen is that they lose him for nowt because as he's U23 they'll be entitled to a fee!
ah yeah monster he will sell at tribunal in close season. looks like hes deffo stuck at stock this season now. forgot about that.
Marshall needs to decide exactly what he wants to do. If he genuinely wants to return to Hillsboro, then he needs to force the issue with his agent and exert his "player power" If he remains undecided, his agent will dictate the way ahead, with the sole objective of making the most money.
just had a look on the stock website thez nowt about a trans-sexual but he did good for the stock reservations
AYe, he scored 2 & created 2 for the reserves yesterday!!
Other scorers were Kenwyne, Soares(2), Jerome(2).
So everyone involved in the goals have some connection to Wednesday!!
Why dont we try and sign Mellor lol

That's the whole point. We can't afford to hold out till summer. By that time we'll have missed out on promotion and Udders (as a championship club) will pounce! We need a plan B now!
