The warrior deal has been agreed for nearly six months. Adidas offer us 12 million.
We say we can get 25 million. Match it.
Adidas say no.
We say oh well.

25 million.

you forgot the part where Addidas said to LFC,
''Win Something....''

Been doing a bit of digging.

Warrior Sports is part of the New Balance shoe group.
New Balance's owner, Jim Davis, is worth a couple of billion dollars.
New Balance themselves have a revenue in or around the $2b per annum and are 4th highest sellers of footwear in the US (Adidas are 8th).

You know, I think we'll be OK, but thanks for your concern guys.

I never understood what was wrong with the Old Balance.

This site is sometimes ridiculous. How can we get wummed for making £12m more a year. Who cares what Adidas think. We haven't lost out by moving elsewhere. In fact we are much better off. £150m over 6 years.

Adidas dropped Liverpool, THEN Liverpool went looking for another shirt manufacturer. You are only getting more money than before because Warrior wanted to secure the deal, as this could lead to more football teams and future profits.

He clearly has no idea Fred. He doesn't seem to be the only one either.

If it has resorted to fans trying to get oneupmanship on each other by comparing shirt sponsors.. then i am sorry fellas but you seriously need to go and knock one out or go and abuse your cat... .. on the other hand though.. I do get the impression that sponsorship deals will soon be like an auction outside each ground on Saturday afternoon.. :P

to be fair, i have heard of under armour. i watch a lot of sport and they do a lot of sponsorship during games in america as well as in a few EA sports games. obviously both companies are big in the states and want to establish themselves globally.

given our contacts (warrior sports being boston based along with fsg) and our own global brand we are able to get a far bigger deal than others trying their luck over there.

as for adidas dropping us? its simple really, things are only worth what someone was willing to pay... hence andy carroll. we might not have been worth 25million a year to adidas, but we are to someone else. their loss, not ours.

Funny this as Addidas were still willing to pay us £12m a year where as spurs could only find a partner willing to offer them £10m a year............think it shows who has the bigger global and commercial appeal.

£25m - second only to Barca - I'll take that thank you v much!!!

They didnt drop us we chose another sponsor willing to give us twice the amount, this deal was agreed last year aswell, poor spurs.

Redrob you must have been at the negotiations

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/19012012/58/premier-league-adidas-end-liverpool-ties-poor-results.html

Adidas have supplied Liverpool's kit since 2006, but their chief executive Herbert Hainer said that the club had now overvalued their sponsorship worth given their poor results on the pitch.

"The gap between their performance on the field and what the number should be is not in balance," Hainer said.

Addidas dropped Liverpool

Addidas dropped Liverpool - funny how they are so bothered about performance on the field but are happy to make the Swansea, Bristol City, West Brom kits...

You certainly are pioneers....i have never seen so much Largese or cockiness for NOT winning anything and reaching 4th place

We didn't get dropped though, we accepted a better offer, and now they have acted very professionally and have had a hissy fit about it

I've never heard of them, but I think we should all agree that America has some very badly named sports companies!

Scribe what a ridiculous comment to make.

I play football, cricket (when I can), table tennis and golf. Not to great standards but I still get out there and play sport. I also (when back in the UK) go to as many games of my local club as I can.

I have never heard of either of these American brands touted about today; mainly because other than when I'm doing sport I wouldn't wear any of these brands as they're mostly worn by châvs in England and les Raqueils out here. Secondly because they all look the same and I couldn't give a crap and go for the cheapest.

Calm down, GQ Magazine .
