Prince of Darkness
very underrated
The music makes it
John Carpenter on form
--------
Fück it, that's going top of the list. Have you seen They Live!? Saw it about a month ago and it blew me away. I've been meaning to get good recommendations on Carpenter ever since.
I never heard of it until now.
Seems average at the moment.
Yeah, I looked it up. It looks average. So so.
Something is urging me to watch more Nicole Kidman. Some sort of beam from outer space. Can't resist the urge so I'm downloading Eyes Wide Shut. Séxy.
Although the Messenger has the séxy girl of twilight on it.
Nicole Kidmen. Isn't she like 90 now?
I really like they live
But Prince of darkness is more a really properly scary film
they live is more about the concept
if you want your girl to have to cling to you for protection while watching with the lights off then P.O.D is the one to get.
They live is more 'wicked idea'
She's in her mid-forties Vela. That's what you want lad, a woman with a bit of experience. She can teach you things, do the hard work and she'd probably be grateful to get a young stud. I still fantasise about my neighbour and she's about the same age but pretty rough next to Kidman.
Doubly sold, redconn. Any other Carpenter films you'd recommend while I have you?
Yeah maybe. Although I'd be the one teaching her things.
Not
obvious ones
the thing - never gets old
then escape from new york
the fog
Big trouble in little china has a lot of humour
P.O.D. is top for me though
hope I didn't oversell it
once upon a time in the west I'll stand by every day of the week though. Don't give a monkey's what you think
Viva. I'm pretty sure if it ever did happen, I'd be submissive. She'd probably be throwing me around the place and I'd just take it.
Right I'm off to watch EWS and redconn, I've got POD downloading now too. Cheers bro for the recommendations..here's something you might like in return.

All top, top films.
Once Upon A Time In The West is great, but if you're looking for a slow burner to compare to The Godfather, search no further than another Leone classic, Once Upon A Time In America.
De Niro. Woods. A young Jennifer Connelly. Morricone at the top of his game.
It's easily one of my all-time top 3 films.
I watched a French film called Home last night. It started out light-hearted and quirky, before taking a decidedly darker turn.
It was definitely worth a watch, but I'm not sure a second viewing will be necessary. At least, not any time soon.
Eyes Wide Shut by the way is amazing. I saw it years ago but would have been too young to understand the greater context of the film, concentrating more on the amount of séx in it instead. The latter part still gets a thumbs up obviously, but the real storyline about the occult behaviour of the super-rich is just...eye-opening.
Kubrick died suddenly and unexpectedly 4 days after submitting the final print of the script to Warner Bros.
Not movie-related but wondering if anybody saw that documentary on Sri Lanka's killing fields just now? Very, very upsetting scenes in it. How are these sort of atrocities not reported on by western media outlets? It's sickening.
Yeah, I watched that AHH. Disturbing stuff.
Btw this film looks really interesting.

I look forward to watching it.
Anyone seen Salvador, with james woods and james belushi?, very good film
Yep seen that as well! An absolute classic.
Can't understand why JFK does'nt get talked about much on threads like this, i think it's probably one of stone's best films.
Casino has just started on ITV4, don't miss it if you haven't seen it!
Finally got round to watching Four Lions.
Below I will review it by use of JA606 smilies.
"Rubber dinghy rapids."
Anyone seen a serbian film?
"Anyone seen a serbian film?"

No. I don't intend to either. It's apparently the most disturbing film of all time.
"Which one??"

Read the plot, but be prepared to throw up.
