I'd actually be quite happy with Danny Drinkwater - A bit of youth, vibrancy and ambition would be a valuable addition to the current squad.

After that, Snodgrass - Clearly a class player as long as he wants to be here.

Then Morgan - A proven, solid Championship defender although obviously a little vulnerable to pace.

Sharp I'm probably least bothered about, which sounds like sour grapes but if we can get Beckford playing on a more consistent basis then what we'd really need is a target man - a replacement for Steve Howard to complement Nugent and Beckford (and Schlupp when he returns). Sharp, while a fine player at this level, is obviously not that man.

Just checked the Mercury and it says Drinkwater has signed. Nothing on the LCFC site though...

Nothing on the LCFC site?...there's a surprise. There's an article on there about Frankie Wortho playing well at the weekend so guess that they are still lagging behind a bit.

its been on the mercury website for a while yet still nothing on the officail site or nothing tweeted by stringer who usually is straight on it when a signing is confirmed - even Rob tanner tweets these stories when confirmed and he works for the mercury

All a bit odd

If you go on newsnow website and then on the leicester news page, their is an article in Barnsley edition of the Mercury where they have interviewed Drinkwater he says in that hes signed a 3.5 yr contract and we payed 1mill to united, he states he was happy at barnsley but neede to sort his long term future.

I'd like to put another one in the mix - Cameron Stewart.

SO based on that, I'd say we don't need or want Sharp,

On the basis that I wanted a Centre midfielder and a wide player I'd have to say:

Drinkwater

I'm not excited by Morgan who doesn't seem any better a squad player than SSL and Sharp can go forth and multiply for me. If Nugent and Beckford can stay fit I'm convinced we can get more out of them and, as others have stated, I'd prefer a striker who can play with his back to goal.

If I were being greedy I'd want two centre mids as, although Danns had a good game against Forest, one swallow does not make a summer as they say...

PS I don't think we'll get Snodgrass, Stewart or Sharp, but we will probably get Morgan.

True, but when he's played there he has looked much better than when he's played out wide. He deserves a run there IMO.

Side not on Morgan - he is better all round than Wayne brown was. We know Brown was not a gifted footballer and Maybe Morgan isn't either but brown palyed a major part in that season we finished 5th.

I really don't think another striker is the answer. It's our midfield, especially the wide midfielders (LM and RM, not andy reid) thats been lacking this season. not creating enough for our strikers, and have not been hussling the opposition enough when we don't have the ball.
