I think that VDV is work in progress, the manager has not really sorted out where is the best position to play him .
Myself i would play him in the hole behind two quality strikers which at the moment Tottenham dont have ,but the window opens soon so lets wait and see.

VdV is a terrific player and better signing from Spurs management (not Redknapp).
But the problem Redknapp hasn't build the team around him and that is why I believe Spurs lost quite a few games.
If you take Arsenal in case, Wenger build the team around Fabregas and playing one touch football.. If some one comes in Wenger's place then he needs to change the whole squad or adopt the same system with few changes.
VDV is a class player, I think next season he will show some real form, Sandro and Luka compliment each other really well.
He loves the club
Why would anyone congratulate Redknapp on the signing of VdV when it wasn't him that identified that he was available at a bargain bucket last minute deal price.
However - he's a bloody good player and has had a effect on Spurs' season. Let's not forget that last season without him we finished 4th, this season with him we have finished 5th therefore it could be argued that VdV cost us a CL place.

"If you take Arsenal in case, Wenger build the team around Fabregas and playing one touch football."
Such a shame that a manager with a pedigree such as that of Wenger had to play so many games without the player he built his team around (rather short sighted some might say). Also a shame that a manager such as Wenger was unable to adapt his tactics to allow for his star player's absence (were his injuries real or imagined?).
VdV has certainly captured the hearts of the Spurs' fans - will he become a legend or not is hard to say - if he ups his fitness for next season he may well do. However if we are to listen to the rumours being circulated on so many of these sports knowledge based forums VdV will be leaving in the summer.

Spurs and Arsenal did struggle this season against smaller teams..
You need a player like Chicharito to score some tap- ins from your winger's crosses..
Where as Arsenal's weakest is on the left flank.. Arshavin wasn't his best and Clichy is terrible against good wingers..
Amazing that an article based on VDV quickly involves Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, seems some of the members need to grow up.
And a good night to you all.

THUdd - has its account been hacked already?
Would I be right in saying that VdV's goals per game ratio is better at Spurs than at any other time in his career since leaving Ajax?
Ajax
Played 117 - scored 52 (1 in every 2.25 games)
Played 35 - scored 14 (1 in every 2.5 games)
