Willian is never, ever a €30m player! this whole thread is pointless. I hald believe the stories coming out of Ukraine that we bid €20m, but there is no chance we would pay €30m for Willian.
For that sort of money we could have our choice of most attacking midfield players in the world (outside the stand out 4 of Neymar, Gotze, Lucas Moura and Hazard) If we are going to spend over €20m on a winger then Gaitan, Shaqiri or Andre Ayew would be much better signings than Willian who reminds me very much of Gervinho. lots of promise but very little end product.

For 24 million pounds, you could get 2 players to improve your team. Shaqiri is only 8 million apparently and Ayew has a release clause of 12 million I think (though that may be me just basing on FM )

I like Chelsea, I was at the friendly in August and there was great banter back and forth between the fans. However when I started watching EPL footy proper (about 2000) Arsenal were the team that caught my eye.
And yeah exact numbers might be incorrect but they are both better than Willian, though he is a good player, just not as good as they 2.
Bluenose - I was at that game as well! It wasn;t as good atmosphere as the previous meeting I went to (2006 I think), but was a good day out. It's always a big love in and the 'we hate Celtic' chant is always fun!
I personally liked the chant the Chelsea fans started "are you spurs in disguise" was pretty witty. Was a good atmosphere in the ground, I was in the main stand right next to the players lounge so heard some good rumours as well- which I said on here which turned out to be a load of crap except the Lukaku signing.
People asking for a source, this is from the official Shakthar website. I've never seen such a clear cut response from a club in the middle of a negotiation, and frankly I'm shocked by it.

If he improves what we have then it is money well spent in my eyes, we haven't seen enough of him to know one way or the other so we gamble as we do with every player you sign....
who hasn't seen enough of him? don't assume everyone only watches the premier league
He's a good player and the type that we need. He will definitely improve us too so i'm all for it. He's looked excellent in the CL too
Reading Shaktar´s official response I´d say this looks like it could be happening very soon.
Shaktar say they are willing to sell Wilian for 30 million Euros which is about 24-25 million quid.
I´d say that this deal is 90-95% going to happen.
