Who saw that tap at the beginning of the game to Rooney? It made me drool.
to be fair i thought the whole midfield was excellent today bearing in mind we have struggled playing 442 againt arsenal in the past at the emirates
He has stepped up to plate ,best MF England have
Been our best player this season and deserves great credit.
Can't wait until Cleverley's back.
Don't like Giggs in CM.
thought giggs was good especially in the first half
He gives the ball away far too much.
Great cross for the goal though.
i think he gives the ball away slightly more because he tries the more expressive and creative passes, but his movement off the ball, and his dribbling ability is still up there with the best, it must be embarrassing for walcott to know that giggs is still twice the player he will ever be.
Walcott is just poor, Evra makes a better winger than him.
Giggs was 61 passes attempted, 41 completed with one assist.
Carrick was 55 passes attempted, 50 completed.
cleverley and carrick in the middle is an exciting prospect
90% passing accuracy from Carrick? If only he had somebody on par with him to work alongside. Giggs was and going forward is not the answer!
So much of Carrick's good work was depressingly & infuriatingly undone by Giggs' lack of vision and accuracy. When your range of passing is limited, as Giggs' is, why attempt "hollywood" passes?!
"When your range of passing is limited, as Giggs' is, why attempt "hollywood" passes?!"
But it's the clever stuff he's good at, it's the simple stuff he messes up too much. Guess what? It's the clever stuff that can win you games...

Guess where he felt most at ease? On the left wing delivering that delicious cross for our opener. Nothing clever about that, a simple cross.
A winger should not be shafted into a busy midfield because as the passing accuracy figures suggest he'll get found out. It is not his fault Fergie picks him in that area.
I agree with Diablo. Giggs was as poor as ever today. I for one can't wait for the return of Cleverley. We will have two midfielers that enjoy keeping the ball and can distribute the ball comfortably.
Valencia Carrick Cleverley Nani
Rooney Welbeck
That attack would give any team in the world problems.
Carrick is class, and in great form. It's ridiculous to think Barry gets the nod ahead of him for England. I think a combo of Carrick/Parker/Wilshere/Cleverley/Gerrard is Englands' best bet, frankly.
"It is not his fault Fergie picks him in that area."
And to be fair to Fergie and Giggs it's a crazy season for injuries that means he's having to play there practically every game.
I also cannot wait for Cleverley to return, he was a joy to behold in the opening few weeks of the season. I'm also glad to see Carrick is finally getting the overdue recognition he deserves.
