We are very lucky. Though in all honesty, if we had Bale at left wing, for example, it should be Valencia that would make way for Nani. He is simply to good too not play. That said, if Nani was playing poorly and suffering from a poor run of form - which happens from time to time - then Valencia would come in and do a great job also. Nothing wrong with competition, it would probably improve the pair of them.
Bale is NEVER going to be a Utd player. So why do we keep talking about him. For me Nani needs to improve his distribution from the left which he will do. Still great to watch though. His touches, skill, flicks and the way he makes defenders fall on their back side is great to watch.
I'd add Rafael and say we've got the three best right wingers in the league. We need to change the shape of the pitch...
and even if we had a quality left mid fit how can you drop Valencia?

For me against quality sides with quality full backs, Valencia may have to get dropped. Lets be honest here. When there is little space to work with, Valencia becomes useless. In tight situations there is no better player than Nani at Utd at beating the full back and Nani is much better on the right side. We also have Young, no where near as good as Nani but with him and Nani on the wings we have more fluidity and against top sides you need that. For me Valencia is not good enough to start against teams who give little space to the wingers. People may mention Cole as an example of a top full back. However, he has not been the same for a while now!
We haven't even thought about Young who was in blinding form on the left for the first part of the season.

A lot of RBs in the top 6 have had Bale in the respective pockets and pass him around when spurs come to town.
Bale is the most overrated one trick pony to every play in this league.
Give him no space to kick the ball and run into and he does nothing. No trickery, no brain as well. He cost his team a win yesterday because of his poor decision making.

Marcelo is the best LB in the world, I guess that's why Mourinho has dropped him from the starting 11 . Marcelo is like Carlos, great going forward, not so good defensively.
