If Pavlyuchenko was an Arsenal player, he'd be second choice behind RVP right now, rather than what... forth choice for you guys?

Honestly thought he'd move on and we'd get a replacement in. Long time since Ive rated Pav now.
We only extended it as he could of gone on a free in the summer I believe!
I think hengy is right, we had the option to extend it for a year. It means that we don't lose him for free in the summer at least.
I guess it also could mean that we are not planning on selling him this transfer window, so it could look like we aren't getting a new striker until the summer (when we really MUST get one.
I worry that if we wait to long and clubs know we are desperate for a striker in the summer that their price will go up.
Im reading Roy Keanes book atm and one thing that really stood out he was talking about the squad. 4 up front players they had Cole, Yorke, Sheringham and Solskjaer.
Imagine us with that lot.
We need better players up front to improve everyone can see this. Even Ade wastes and awful lot. Defoe is decent but not at that standard and then VDV seems to have gone off the boil. Then we have Pav.
Its not good enough really.
I watched Llorente last night play he looks decent held the ball up okay scored a good goal looks a better adebayor and rumours were around he could go for £24 million.
I read this too and my first reaction was....
So we have priced Pav out of a move...Just let the guy go and we can bring someone in with some quality, sick and tired of these transfer windows, do we even know its open?
