why wasnt bocanegra sent off
GF...I'm not sure it was a red..I know what you mean. It could have gone either way but I'm not sure it's a 100% straight red. It was just inside their half and there are 3 other Rangers players around. The Aberdeen lad had a lot of work to do.
Ally's now trying to play a more offensive style than Wally and that means his defense is exposed.
Everyone praised Wally's defense but what they often overlook is that his team was defensive minded meaning they had plenty of support from the midfield.
It made the defense look good (even though they conceded more goals than Celtic last season).
Goian is slower than Broadfoot
FACT
Where is le choppometer in the papers? where is the hounding of McCoist for what can only be described as an absolute shambolic set of results?
Malmo? Out
Maribor? Out
Falkrirk? Out
15 point lead in the SPL, start of November to end of January being 4 points behind?
I of course am absolutely loving it
Harry...I keep reading this about Ally trying to play a more attacking style than Walter. I admit I don't see all of their games but I really don't see any evidence of this. Playing Edu and McClogger doesn't look particularly attack minded to me...at least not in the footballing sense.
Goian is a 'mare.
As was said above, there's a combination of things happening. Less cover for the defence, less pace at the back. Boogy, despite his nosebleeds, had decent pace for an spl defender.
Durranty!.....he's a belter as well
morning nnh some turn around eh jcge
magnum
He's dropped Elbows recently and is playing a 4-4-2 rather than Wally's 4-5-1.
I'm not saying it's Brazilianesque by any stretch of the imagination but it's been open enough to expose the heart of his defence.
I think Ally's had an easy ride in the press tbh. Imagine Lennon having a 15point gap to minus 4? in 2 months. He'd be crucified for it.
Harry...fair enough...let's agree he is being 'less defensive' rather than 'more attacking'.
Rangers are awfull at the minute. Our game against St Mirren was no work of art but we dug in and got the points but the Gers dont seem to be doing it as much as they were last year. 4 points clear of the gers after being 15 points behind is some acheivment we are also 24 points clear of Motherwell after being 6 points behind them not bad also. I want to win the League so bad Im wishing my life away so may will be here sooner. Both 1st and second enter into the 3rd qualifier for the CL this year though so no euro carrot just good old bragging rights
rnr lennon dropped less points than mccoist and the press had him sacked, y isnt mccoist getn sacked?
Aye, it's amazing what difference a couple of months make.
Remember the Bears taunting us about competing with Motherwell for 2nd place?
Changed days indeed.
Keny A rather starnge situation.
What does happen with the CL next season? i heard whoever wins the leage has to play 3 qualifiers
No Both first and second go into the 3rd qualifying round then if they progress they go into the play offs before the Group stages. There has to be a rake of freak results with Barca having to come fifth in la liga and ther German cup winners winning the league as well before we go straight into the play offs.
how bad is browns passing btw is awful, that said i think with we stand off teams to much so his pressing and "dig" (think i just died a little inside ) is cruciak, especially with forrest and ki in midfield.
Commons just oozes class aswell. Need to get him back in that team, although he is a great option to come off the bench, not to sure he will setlle for that though.
Keny
His layoff to Forrest was pretty good don;t you think?
Thought a lot of the pass on Saturday was poor. The only one who regularly found a team mate was Ki. unfortunately, all he did was turn back and pass the ball to our CB's who took it in turn to howf it up the field.
scores a lot to get him back in
