It will be emotional... That's all I'm saying. Top of the main stand calls again.
Well if Mancini does what other teams have been doing namely closing down our back four, Agger and Skrtel, they will have a better chance of getting back in the tie.
Liverpool will have to be tighter in the centre of midfield than they were at Wastelands in the first leg. Silva if given any space will cut them to ribbons.
Liverpool against Bolton were more open than Jordans legs on a saturday night. They need to be tighter than a nuns honey potter. The key to a Liverpool win is Savic,He's so bad he makes David Luiz look good.
If I were Kenny I would ensure that the midfield is slammed shut and they insist that Bellamy torments Savic. I hope Kenny starts Bellamy. Not only is he quick for his age, he's a pain in the backside, as he never shuts up. Thats exactly what we need against City.
Kenny will be the worried one, with the mistake of not finishing the game off in the first leg and only holding a slender league,he won't know whether to stick or twist.
Mancinis job is much easier as we have to come at you and we are a much better team on the front foot
With the backing of 6000 proper mancs unlike the FA cup game following, the atmosphere should be electric
With the weekend being free for us we should have no thoughts of resting players so this is how I think we will line up

come on mate. pay attention. Kompany's back for wednesday
No he isn't he got a 4 match ban
I know this is going to sound so clichéd, but I really do think the key to this game will be the first goal.
If we score first the Man City will have to open up and score twice, which could be good for us.
As long as we don't try to sit back and defend a two goal lead, which could be a disaster.
If Man City score first it will get their tails up, so we would have to try and put them on the back foot. Not easy!
This really is a hard one to call. I honestly can't decide if we are going to get through by an odd goal, or if Man City are going to make us pay for not finishing it at their place, and hammer us.
Do you think City will challenge the Balloteli charge to allow him to play on Wednesday?
That's one of the nice things about football, you can never predict how the game will go. Each teams' last game means nothing and as it's a cup game - be prepared for a surprise.
No
Hes a pillock and should get banned
PPLF - If they did he would miss 4 PL games and possibly 5 if it's seen as a frivolous appeal
Hmmm I thinking I want ballotelli to play v us. He doesn't seem to like playing us and could, in all probability, get sent off.
I don't think city will appeal it however, as it is highly likely he would get an extra match ban for a frivolous appeal, which could mean he misses 5 premier league matches.
Kompanys back for wednesday.....oops no he's not.
As a football fan, I want to see him play. He is completely unpredictable. I totally reject any suggestion that he deliberately stamped on Parker. Thats my view. The FA, yet again, sadly have, I suspect listened too much to the person gripping the rail at Southwark Crown Court. While he is fully entitled to his opinion, unless the Manchester United representative at the game, Howard Webb, in front of whom it all took place, didn't take issue, then I can't see how the FA can. But then again, it is the FA. Pathetic. JimmyTheRed
JTR - I disagree, I think it was deliberate and Web United say's he didn't see the stamp otherwise he would have sent him off according to sky news. That said I will be sorry if he misses the game on Wednesday.
I personally don't think it was deliberate. If he was English and his last name was Rooney and his first name Wayne...then no more would be made of it.
If he was English and his last name was Rooney and his first name Wayne the FA would have put the appeal in themselves.
The last time we played as bad as we did v Bolton was the spurs game, Kenny was angry that day and got a reaction from the team, we went on a good run after, hopefully we get the same reaction on wednesday after the limp effort at the reebok.
Here's hoping
Jay Spearing is a must start if fit, he linked up with Stevie brilliantly and mopped up any loose balls allowing Gerrard to push up 20yards further than he dare to if Adam or Henderson are playing!
Not predicting the result, my nerves will be frayed in block 206 on Wednesday anyway!!!
I want jonjo to play, I really rate him as a player.
Sammy Lee.
I agree.
Wee Jay is a must if he's fit. I wouldn't start Adam, He dawdles and you cannot do that against Silva. Wee Jay may not be the most creative, but he'll slam the door shut. I reckon Spearing should also start against RMFC(Real Madrids Feeder Club) on saturday too.
ITS GONNA BE AWESOME!!! I bet we tear into em, all frothing at the mouth and in their faces; they will be shi$$ing it!!
I see a 3-1 to Liverpool.
There's another Got_Bitter prediction to go crashing down in flames. He'll be having them finish in the top four, next.
Got Better will be looking for a shrink this time next week
There is a big chance of both Liverpool and Arsenal finishing in the top four when Slobber chops Redknapp begins his year stint in Parkhurst. Is there an airport in the Isle of Wight or will Jamie have to go by ferry to visit his old man in prison?
