The wage bill is, in my opinion, one of the lowest in the division

With £9.5m to spend, (from Ken Bates program notes) we can theoretically afford to pay 25 players (average Championship squad) £7,300 each per week, which in my opinion is quite low for this division.
If we actually spend money on transfer fees (say £2M) this will drop the average wage bill to £5700 per week and this is what KB admits too so it WILL be lower than this.

9.5 million could get us promoted

lets see if it happens first

Yes he says that there is a £2M overspend but doesnt state if the wage bill is for just players. If it includes other staff we have an admin staff of over 100. If you pay these admin staff £50 a week this equates to £2.6M which drops the figures down to £9.5M. The admin staff figures are a low average I believe and the players wages will be well under the £9.5M a year.

So according to you we pay nearly twice has much the average wage in the champ

rather than speculation, can we find out how much our wage bill is, and how it compares?

LIW BATES OUT I have used 25 players as our playing staff the number is probably nearer to 35 and the figures that are quoted are from Ken Bates which will be on the high side and include the admin staff
If you include the admin staff of 100, with a wage of £50 a week and a playing staff of 35 you get an average wage of £5K a week (from £9.5M).
This figure is what Ken Bates admits to so it will be lower than this so we are below the average for the championship and as I say ARE ONE OF THE LOWEST PAID FOR THIS DIVISION

So if we have a average wage of 5K

But the average wage in the champ is 4k

That surely means were above average payers.

or am i missing something
