The WUMS say AVB is a flop.
The WUMS are the bront off all knowledge, they know it all
It isn't right for us to be so critical of him, he needs time and our support...
And Torres, although he isn't making the best use of dd's absence, I think he also needs more game time and our endless support to complete his rehabilitation.
After all said and done, I am now convinced that top 4 is good enough for us this season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But are we good enough for a top 4 finish this season?
On current from I would say we are not.
"But are we good enough for a top 4 finish this season?

Lucky enough Arsene and Kenny will keep messing up to keep us in.
In Arsene and Kenny i trust!!!!
We can´t keep relying on them to do so. We have to improve on how we are playing at the moment or one of them will overtake us, I guarantee it!
Arsenal at a push maybe, Liverpool will drop too many silly points at home to challenge us or even Arsenal, even if they beat both of us at Anfield.
Next 2 (league) games are vital, if we can somehow wrestle 6 points at The Liberty and against Man U i could see our season going strong, loss them both or only get 1/2 points, even i might start to worry then!!!
I agree we need to get a boost from beating those two teams, mind you though, after we beat Mam City I thought that would give us the boost, but instead we took 3 points from our next 4 games.
I think Swansea's game might suit us.
We seem to do well against teams who like to play, for example we beat Blackpool twice last season pretty comfortably and we don't seem to have many problems against Owen Coyle's Bolton where-as Megson's Bolton use to always to give us a game.
Judging by our late away fixtures, home form will be vital from here on in.
Biggish we are above Liverpool and Arsenal because we have been better than them this season. I don't understand the 'we are only in 4th because Liverpool and Arsenal are bad'. They have been bad...and we have been better...so not much of a problem about being 4th then. It's like seeing Spurs are only 3rd as WE have been bad, no?
I think the Swansea game will suit us as well, i hope so anyway .
TBK.........
We have been outplayed twice by Liverpool and stuffed at home by Arsenal.
We have to play them both away and on current form we would get sweet feck all from other fixtures.
It is not about where we are now, it is about where we will finish end of the season, and on current form the way we are playing we will not finish top 4.
Ask Blackpool!
Don´t make the assumption that Arsenal and Liverpool won´t be better 2nd half of the season, it will come back to bite you.
from those matches agst Arsnela and Liverpool
I want to stop worrying too much about Chelsea, our worries or concerns don't change anything, I believe that if Avb knows what to do to get the team playing better and winning games then he'll do it, if he doesn't, then too bad for us, we'll get what we deserve relative to the other teams. In other words, if we make top 4 then we deserve it, if not, then we don't deserve to be in the cl.
Very philosophical Mr Capello and to be honest that is probably the best approach to have.
"We have been outplayed twice by Liverpool and stuffed at home by Arsenal."
If Malouda didn't make that stupid backpass we would have drew if not nicked the Arsenal one.
One off results don't really matter, Liverpool and Arsenal's recent results against us alone are not going to give them the upper hand when it comes to who will finish above who.
If thats the case then we would be nailed on to finish above City as we have beaten them the last 2 times we have faced them.
If Malouda didn't make that stupid backpass we would have drew if not nicked the Arsenal one.
--------------------------------------------------------
That is true but the outcome was we lost 5-3 and I suspect all fans of every club could roll out the "if only" sentence for every defeat suffered.
The point is that we can´t assume that Liverpool or Arsenal will continue to be as inconsistent as they have been so far.
Teams can go on a good run and remember Arsenal had a dreadful start to the season that cost them. They they went on a great run before their latest stumble.
Wilshire comes back soon and he will make a big positive difference to Arsenal
Arsenal have already shown they can go on a run and we have so far shown that we can´t,and that is what has to change if we want to finish top 4.
I am certain that our current points per game ratio will not be enough for top 4 this season so bookmark me saying that 70 points will not be enough for top 4 this season.
The race is till open, its foolish to expect Arsenal and Liverpool to continue fumbling, if that is our plan then we won't make it, we have to play like we really want it if we mean to get it.
2 weeks on and we are still above Arsenal and Liverpool. Football is a very strange game
