Thanks for sharing, Bricks. I know I am asking you something specific here, so you may not answer, but I see you have nearly 200,000 of those shares. My question is, do you know how many are in existence?
If 200,000 are costing the club a dividend of £3k per annum, there would have to be tens of millions of them to be a significant consideration in the club's finances, surely?
I do find the idea of the club trying to convert them every year, I bet the letters are quite amusing before they go in the bin. The rationale as to why you wouldn't want a cheque for £3k every year and a load of worthless shares instead. It appeals to my dark sense of humour, that situation.
Gartside has 18,662,805 shares..
Warburton has 46,175,205 shares
Duckworth has 15,000 shares
combined through the 0.1p, 5p and 4.9p shares. So there are alot of them..

There's 2,022,866 of them and the company can force conversion or redmption if 500,000 is reached.
I have 2 x 19,295 that pay £2,700/annum, so by way of projection it costs the company around 150k/annum on interest in these shares.
I think the company would have to do miraculously well for any holder of these shares to agree to have them converted to the new ones.
HH
No directors have any 10p (7.5p net shares).
They're not shares strictly either and were only offered late 60's and as they were in the form of a loan, they could not be converted during the reverse takeover, just like a bank loan couldn't without the banks say.
Sad that all the Kevin Davies ' haters ' have finally got their chance to vent their frustrations on one of the very few Bolton Living Legends ...... If such a levels of disrespect can be shown to SKD, someone who's never ever given any less than 100% for the cause (and to great effect too, over the years) then there's little hope for this club, or the fickle element of it's so-called fans .......
"Sad that all the Kevin Davies ' haters "
I think that's sad..
It's about seeking the best for BWFC.
Or show me the "I hate Kevin Davies" thread?
Thanks for Info Bricks!
And theres no SKD hate going on.
Everyone respects him.
He is a legend.
He has done great things for this club.
But he has passed his peak and his declining.
Other than the previous 'fat sod' comment which everyone disagreed with...where has there been disrespect?
Everyone can acknowledge that SKD, as much of a legend that he is, has been way below his previous standards. Hes been struggling for a long period.
He wont be offered a new deal, and although heart strings may be pulled...a £1,5m offer is too good to resist isnt it...
I'm a pragmatist and can see that 1.5mil is tempting for a 34 year old player in the last year of his contract.
But I can also see the massive risk of being left short on strikers for the rest of the season.
Firstof, I love Kevin Davies, have a very nice picture of me and him at Euxton which I will always treasure. Accepting an offer of £1.5m is a good football/business decision, if one is forthcoming. As LMB says, show me the evidence of hate.
Bricks, would really love to know what kind of stuff the company says to try to get you to convert the shares, given that you'd be crazy to do it. Do they offer free season tickets or hospitality or anything?
There's no thread by that name LMB ..only insulting, disparaging remarks being posted and aimed at the lad ....examples are on this thread, but plenty of other similar remarks on other threads too, over the last few weeks.
The types of snide remarks being made are usually only reserved for folk that are pretty much hated IMO, but, as with anything, you either see it, or you don't, according to your own opinions.......

No perks at all except if I'm desperate for a ticket or 2, I get put through to Paula Mulligan or Richard Gough who happen to lay their hands on a couple of sold out ones.
On the day of the reverse takeover, the registrars contacted my dad with an offer from an anonymous shareholder in excess of 60k for them and he said no
Go play your imaginary ' points scoring ' games elsewhere Moses ...while I'm still in a good mood .....

I'm not playing any sort of point scoring games, I just want to see were people are disrespecting a legend.
If you can't back up your claims, I guess your point is incorrect .....
Firstof, my old sparring partner, I genuinely think you've got the wrong end of the stick about what people are saying about Kevin Davies. I've no idea whether or not Moses is trying to score points, but I think your warning him is over the top if I am honest.
I've referred to him as past it and over the hill and stuff in other threads, but these aren't intended to insult him. John McGinlay is past it and over the hill too. I think you're being too emotional about it. Not looking for a row, but saying there's no hope for the club because of the attitude for the fans towards Kevin Davies isn't the most rational analysis you've ever provided on this forum.
Davies has done great stuff for us, but we aren't in a position to let £1.5m pass us by. Unfortunately.
This article has resulted in quite a bit of 'inhouse' fighting ! . . . . and Campo's last comment sounds like a feeling of acceptance, with relegation in mind
Davies is definately not as good as he was in his p'prime'
but if Martin Oneill thinks that he would be right for S.A.F.C. meaning that he could get more out of him than at present, that's good enough for me
I think Gordon has made the most important point of all.
If Martin O'Neill believes that Davies is still capable of performing in the Premiership then we'd be daft to let him go in my opinion.
£1.5m is an amazing deal for us, we should tear his arm off to get that.
As for the people saying it is disrespectful, it isnt. Davies would get a PL contract out of it and maybe a new challenge could be good for him. His time at Bolton is over, especially with the 4-5-1 system taking over.
Good thread until the usual bickering.
But, Davies isn't going. Decision made by BWFC, so looks like we got him till end of season. Hopefully the club will let us know when his last home game is and he can get the send-off his legendary status deserves.
Surprised MON would be interested..SKD has done little for over a season and sad to say a spent force at Premiership level. If he goes anywher I would expect the fizzy pop in the summer where he could still do a job(I KNOW we coulod be fizzy pop by then but stayin positive).
We have rejected a bid from Suderland for SKD, rumours going around that the bid was between 250k-500k!
That's an insult to davies in my opinion, though I would drive him to Sunderland myself for 1.5million.
So £250k-£500k is an insulting fee for a 'has-been' ( as suggested by other Bolton fans ) and you'd gladly take £1.5m for a 'fizzy pop' player
I'm confused
It's not that confusing, Gordon. There's a point of view that seems logical enough that, for so small a fee, we might as well keep him.
