we do have a few bob spare nar matey,i would be interested to see how season tickets are going at the min, we can ill afford our support to fall away, i feel certain that if we were to bring in a name or two our support would hold firm and with time increase..

I know what you are saying Lunny. The others dont bother me but McNulty and Perkins just seem like nothing players. McNulty who has basically been injured the last 2 year and Perkins who has spent all his career in the lower leagues now all of a sudden deserves a chance because he had one good season with Colchester.

Im willing to bet we score alot of goals this season but concede a shed load more which should hopefully make entertaining viewing.

Good grief, pass me the hammer and cold chisel..We can't afford "names"..

We can afford so so names like Robins signed...with absolutely no response from the plastics...Hill's brief is to identify and mould talent that will eventually improve the team and be saleable assets in future seasons.

Can remember people moaning during the summer of 96...

"Who's centre back we've signed from Holland's backwaters?"

"Chuffin' 'ell we've bought a cowboy called Clint"

Give them a fair chance before you do what you do best....moaning.

Agree with sparty don't knock the team or manager till we have seen them play. So have less or the morbid comments and try writing with a bit of positivity for a change

I'm thinking the opposite right now Lunny and agree with spart. Depending on the mentalitly I think lower league players being given the chance to step up will have a far more positive impact than a premier league player who views us as a step down.

Bear in mind that these are not gambles for hillcroft as far as these are players they know and feel confident they can do a job. They are young too so can still develop. Look at the premiership talent we have gambled on in the past few years and how many of them had no heart. Norwich practically brought back up a team of league 1 players and they did alright. Its as much down to the manager as it is the players and Hill has a good record. We have some decent players in our squad so bringing in hungry players can only be a positive thing. I feel good for the season.

Well said Murb.

I too am looking at the more poitive side of things and would rather see a couple of young and hungry-to-prove-themselves players rather than one uninterested borderline squad member from the Premiership that is only at the club to pick up a paycheck and maybe get some interest from other clubs that can afford them.

Apparently he knows all there is to know about football. So then Mr Leeds, fount of all knowledge, can you tell us in what year were Leeds United formed?

I don't to support Barnsdale..or Rochley ....Hill has to stop bringing in former players from a lower league. This has all the hallmarks of a disaster in the making.
