Pak 240 AO
England win by 1 wicket with Monty top scoring after an England collapse
If all depends on how these two get on early morning, need to have an attacking mind-set. We’ve had 4 allos already back in the hut. Two were avoidable in my opinion.
If they carry on batting like allos – lead of 110
If they bat with allo and goobi – Lead of 160
Add some GULab Jamun – Lead of 180
If the overall (junaid) KHANa is tasty – lead of 200
england to win if chasing anything <200.
Pakistan - 230
Pakistan win by 25 runs..
I think we would struggle with anything over 170 on this pitch against the spin we will face. Think England will do it but it's going to be a horribly tense day.
Too hard to call.... A real nail biter
I think Pak need to extract some revenge for the Broad/Trott partnership in Lords 2010 but with this partnership. The lead has to be over 200 so this partnership needs to be long and then hopefully Adnan will chip in with a 50 giving Pak a 220 lead and then beat England by 1 run.
In reality I think we will get a 150 lead perhaps but England will chase it with 5 wickets down.

What I meant was to get a 200 lead Adnan Akmal will have to chip in with a 50.
can anyone give any info on how pitch was playing in afternoon and evening sessions?
Kash, all the apnay from Halifax, hudds, Rochdale, Oldham and so on are soo embarrassed of their own towns they reckon its all part of “Manchester”…. just checking your geography is up to date that all…
Not sure about afternoon session, but not a lot was happening in the latter parts of the evening session. Hope that helps peter!!!
Lol I am from Hudds and temporarily residing in Manchs. We all know where you live "Harehills"
As the ball got softer there was less turn, Monty tried to bowl it faster but did not get the results. They will be fresh in morning so may do better, especially Broad.
I wouldnt let my neighbours dog live in harehills mate!!
The BBC has England on top at the end of the third day. They must be smoking something nice. A slender advantage at this stage will too easily be wiped out in England's second innings on a deteriorating pitch that will take spin well.
Eihei.....it's the same thing every time Murray walks onto the court......funny how it all changes in a matter of a few sets.....until next time then they will be chest beating him again and again....anyone would think he has won a major or something...Murray just can't handle any pressure the poor sod, because he would be a handy player if he could just harden up a bit...show some balls...
agreed with the above. The BBC, TMS & Sky view games differently to me.
Assuming England get in some time tomorrow how's about a shake up of the batting line up? KP to open? Prior/Broad/Swann promoted! Unlikely I know but our batsmen are not working at the moment.
Pakistan are essentially 55-4. If that's not England on top I don't know what is.
Boycs suggests a lead of 150+ will be difficult to chase down. Read that way England are not so far on top. In the words of the BBC England have a "firm grip" on the game!
Also, Pakistan were about 55-4 but England let them off the hook.
And England's batsmen have no confidence. Expect Strauss, KP, Bell & Morgan to contribute about 10 between them.
"Boycs suggests a lead of 150+ will be difficult to chase down."
Right...and they're 95 runs/ 45 overs short of that, with 4 wickets down, 19 overs till the new ball, and a notoriously long tail.
You may well have your suspicions that England will collapse for a 100. That doesn't mean squat when it comes to saying who's on top.
hazsa......Quite a few people have got the fat lady already singing.
To find out favoritism is easy really......simply look up the bookies prices and find out where the weight of money is going.

It's best getting the prices from a nutural country where as the prices are not biased....above is NSW Australia Sports-bet odds.
Not a betting man...but doesn't this neutral source of yours suggest that England are on top?
Yes, by a huge margin....but if I was to outlay 10 quid I much prefer to take the gamble and get a return of 35 quid compared to 10pound 40.
So it doesn't suggest anything at all of any value.
