Woeful performance all round and a goal keeping mistake the only reason we are through.
Adebarndoor just wandered around arrogantly with no effort, Modric was abysmal, Defoe non existant.
Only VDV, Parker and Walker showed the required fight for muddy nights on bobbly pitches like this, and even then they were well below par.
We got lucky.
Awful tonight truly awful.
Top teams just dont take their foot off the pedal like that.
Completely wrong attitude.
agreed,
livermore also played like he wanted to win though.
modric and adebayor clearly couldnt be bothered
It's obvious that our "star" players don't have an appetite for playing away against a Championship team. Modric virtually stood still at times and Adebayor would have given a better performance if he had stood still.
All our "minor cup" performances are this bad.
Livermore and Rose tried ok but the rest were abysmal.
I feel that we struggled against Cheltenham and now tonight. Good point is that we haven't conceded but we won't win the cup like this.
Harry should have given players with a point to prove a go. Don't know why he played such big names. Guess he thought footballers were thorough professionals.
harry just said modric was ill.... sounds like a cover up to me.
anyway mousey i would have played a strong team too as i knew it would be a tough game.
i wanna win the fa cup this season
Mouse, just wondering did Tom Carroll play tonight?
I haven't seen the game Chronic (lucky me), so I can't really comment, but some players have trouble putting in effort against smaller teams and think they'll just walk the game. When there's little squad rotation, players become too comfortable. I just feel the likes of Pienaar, Corluka, Pav, Bassong, Niko would have had more to prove.
No Igor, Harry played a pretty strong team. You still hearing things about him going to Derby?
i assume carroll to derby is just a loan?
he is a young starlet
Cheers lads, you seem to like him so id say its only a loan, hope to the end of season though, and regular championship football will bring him on nicely.
Tottenham were played off the park by a championship side
Draw at home vs Wolves
Well beaten at City
Outplayed by Watford
Maybe Redknapp's trial has impacted Spurs more than we first thought
