I dont think either of them can play for us in the CL regardless of when they are registered as they already played in the group stages of the tournament.
He has already played in this year´s competition. Neither player is eligible and from what AVB is saying, neither player will join us in the January window anyhow.
Also, If we sign DeBruyne we won't see him playing for us until the start of the 2013/14 season as he will stay at genk this year and go on loan next year.
I thought players could play in the knockout stages for a new club even if they played in the groups? I'm probably totally wrong though.

they can't. you can register one player that played in a different comp (the europa league) but not if they previously played CL
