Scholes has been dictating this game from the start
Mid week effort from Liverpool is showing. They are unable to press with effort or energy.

Rafeal has been the best defender.
Scholes has been brilliant
Smalling is soooooo much better than jones
Smalling > Jones defensively i defo agree
CLH,
He has so far, my point was in general.
Liverpool have been outplayed by a midfield of Giggs and Scholes
Liking this patient possession football from Utd
What a great half. All Utd.
We dominated Arsenal like this last weekend, then didn't come out for the second half, hope we continue it this week.
Worrying one liverpool corner lead to their goal against run of play though. Good half to SOCIETY there. Bad half for the NEANDERTHALS.
Can't believe that Scholes can still control the game like this.
So Sir Alex Ferguson, your tactics can allow for patient, passing footy?
Let this be the template for the remainder of the season!
Valencia
Rafael
Carrick
Smalling
Giggs
On top of their game today

Age slows you down but a clever player will never loses that intelligence, reading of the game and awareness of space and players around him.
If he can stay fit I want to carry on.
You have to remember that Jones was never first XI player at his single season at Blackburn, an in most of his matches he played DM.
Smalling has had a full season with UNited prior to this one, playing regularly in the CL. Also had a full season with Fulham playing Europa league and playing regularly at CB.
Smalling is bound to be better at CB than Jones right now. Jones is still very raw and needs much more game time at CB to reach the right level to play there regularly.
To be fair I think Jones should play at DM for us anyway, his attacking talents are waisted at CB
Giggs and Park have been hopeless, but the rest of the team are playing really well. Rafael is brilliant as per, as is Valencia, Carrick and Smalling. Whoever was marking Agger needs a word with themselves also.
75 - Paul Scholes made 75 passes in the first half v Liverpool, completing 73 of them (97%). Master.

Excellent points. One more thing to add, Fergie never intended to use Jones as much as he done. The first season was always going to be one of transition. He has shown his strengths but equally, probably alarmingly, he has shown the obvious flaws in his game.
I believe with a little coaching and with time & experience he'll be the best ball playing CB in the premiership.
