I am not defending the guy, but that picture is inconclusive without any video evidence to support the claim that he was doing a monkey gesture.
Hopefully there is video evidence and if he was doing it then he will get punished for it, but as it stands, he could be doing anything, scratching his armpit, putting something in his pocket, doing a 'teapot' dance, be disabled etc etc....is it definite what he is doing?
I agree about Evra not being as good as he once was. How old is he, because he has gradually dipped in the last two years. Very similar to Chelsea's Ashley Cole.
The media would rather concentrate on ONE fan, than chants from 6000 manc supporters. What else do we expect? That ONE fan will be found and banned.
What I find interesting, after both managers appeals for calm, is that ONE Liverpool fan acting like a kn0b has been highlighted by the press. Yet 6000 United fans chanting about us being murderers hasn't even been mentioned.

Some people may want to debate or wum, then others may just want to open up old wounds and start a war of words resulting in banned users and articles being pulled. Your team has just beaten their most fierce rivals and knocked them out of the cup, and some fans instead of celebrating would rather sling mud...................sad
Billy, the pic I have seen on fb is very clear as to what he is doing..if you see the same picture trust me there is nothing to question..Bad apples at every club sadly, Utd fans were bang out of order if they did chant that.
What I am pointing out is Evra being booed is understandable and acceptable.Every single set of fans in the land would react exactly the same if they believed one of there players had been unjustly found guilty by the FA , which David Moyes calls a " Kangaroo Court"
However, what is a lot,lot,lot more despicable,obhorant and disgraceful is the actions of ONE Liverpool fan today, and the chants of approximatley SIX THOUSAND Manchester United fans.The 6001 people mentioned should have the book thrown at them

Lets not forget that Busquets was alleged to have called Marcelo a 'monkey', with video evidence, and Kanoute reported that Fabregas had made a racist remake aimed at him.
Yet it hasn't been spread across the newspapers in Spain.

And there were no songs aimed at Munich from the Liverpool fans, however man united faithful were making plentiful chants around the hillsbrough and hysel tradegies which is disgraceful.
also with their persistent standing there is due course to reduce their allocations further.
No doubt they'll wonder why seeing as they can "do what they want"

If it's monkey chants it doesn't matter who it's at it's wrong. I agree the picture needs to be investigated but if proved right then the fella should be done and banned for life.
As for the chants they have been going on for years from both sides. If any good is to come out all this crap then maybe both sest of decent fans will be less tolerant of what their fellow fans get up to.
