Maybe. Although they have come out and said they will not be spending like last year. Maybe only strengthening in certain areas. I don't believe there will be any bargains to be had for teams in this league. Especially teams whom could potentially challenge them.

They seem to to thinking quality not quantity and I thing most observers would say they need a bit nore flair to compliment Silva. This would mean even less plying time for Johnson who is not over used now and Wright-Phillips never plays. I agree that they would not want to sell to a potential rival but even with mega rich owners there comes a time for balancing the books a bit.

Adebeyor,Bellamy, onuoha,Santa Cruz,Bridge,Jo,Given, wright Phillips, will all be available to buy but I think a lot depends on whether they are prepared to sacrifice wages to play elsewhere as the greed of footballers beggars belief at times.

Right. They might look on it as offending their honour by offering a lower wage.

I believe most will go abroad.

Don't think the will be paid more abroad but the tax situatioin may be better. I'm sure City would prefer to sell abroad but they will now have the same problem that some of the higher wage payers in the Prem have had for years.

How do you get the players you no longer need to leave?

There seems to be a misconception by many that Adam Johnson hardly plays
He's started 23 games this season and was our injured from January to march missing 12 games
Many believe he's much better coming off the bench against tiring full backs than starting and having teams double up on him which has clearly frustrated him if late
No chance he will be going anywhere either

I agree that it is unlikely he will leave but I do think it is fair to say that he doesn't play as much as he would like and if City do buy more flair players in the summer then I wonder (may be hope) if he would start to think about how much game time he will be getting.

As I said I think it will depend on the summer signings but he may be relegated to the domestic cup team and bench for prem and CL which I don't think will keep him happy.

Still don't think City will sell him but they appear to be reluctant to keep players who want to leave, Tevez?
