Couldn't of put it better myself.
Sad times for Forest
Well said Vidal, absolutely hit the nail on the head. I truely beleive that under the Doughty era we have been one of the worst run clubs in England, possibly the worst run right now. Supposed to be losing £7m a year for 10 years too when we barely compete for transfers?? Doughty has smothered this club to near extinction, nothing will ever improve until he's erased from our club.
The current mgr is an joke, absolute stooge!!
Indeed Sheriff sad times, not only now but ahead for the next decade if this operation is allowed to continue. If the current regime running the club are allowed to keep there jobs for the next 3 years we are finished.
Laughing stock!
Some fans may say write this season off, plan for next season in league1. It sounds silly doesn't it with so much at stake, but i'd agree with that point of view if it meant wiping the slate clean and starting again.
Personally I think the task ahead is far too hard for the current set of players and management to get out of. For reasons I won't go into because you all know the answer anyway.
So who do you turn to to get us out of this mess whether it be in league one or a relegation battle?
Jonathan Greening? I don't think so
Captain Chambers? not my fault honest
Matt Derbyshire? you get my drift.....
You turn to the players who know nothing else but Nottingham Forest, 'the kids'. It boggles the mind to how these 'Premiership' tracked players are treated. He's not quite ready this and he's not ready that, here Notts County you have him.
What a kick in the balls to a young player that is!
Why don't we just hand them over to ticket touts and see the best price we can get, rather than giving them a chance to help us out.
Oh wait a minute... that's exactly what were doing
Len bang on duck,
Its easy to sign the cheques off year upon year to cover up the cancer rotting away the club. But to ram it back down our throats for poor miss management of finance is disgraceful.
You're right Baboon, that Cotteroach has been dreadful at blooding young talent in the few months he's been here (apart from giving Bamford his debut and starting a few training with the first team of course). Honestly what was he supposed to have done. I wouldn't argue with this not being the worst run club in the last few years though Len. I point a big finger of blame at BD for us not getting people like Moloney through, it was easier buying Gunter I suppose.
We havent really had anyone who really worked with the youth since paul hart, and maybe one or two inbetween who fiddled with the academy.
Sc is saying that these players have not enough experience, why then doesn't he loan them out FOR the experience. We all know the chances of Bamford and lacelleus hitting the first team despite the circumstances is low, so why not loan them out for half a season to get the experience then assess them when they come back rather than flogging them off for a pittance. Even if they dont feature this season, they may be crucial in the team next season.
I agree that these players are too young and inexperienced to be playing in the first team at the moment. We are in a relegation scrap for gods sake, the thought of bringing in youth players who haven't seen first team action is ridiculous.
Like Cotterill said, they need to go out on loan to the lower leagues to get some experience, like Freeman has. Rushing them through into the 1st team set up is not the answer to our problems.
