And which teams, except Spain and Holland, do you rate higher than the English team?

England are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over hyped
Spain, Holland, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, France, Uruguay, Italy, Chile and a few others I can't think of would destroy England.

Its sad, isn't it?

Yes, especially our blind pundits and media who spend everyday trying to convince us otherwise. Loved the moment when Germany knocked us out and that muppet Garth Crooks looking stunned on TV repeating "But we have the best league in the world,".
By the way we also have no world class players. The only one who is close to that is Rooney, but he's already hit his peak and is on the way down.

I agree.

rooney has nothing more to offer

Ivory Coast, Mexico, Russia, Croatia, Turkey, Portugal, Belgium are all better than us at the moment!

Belgium have a bright future if all their young stars fulfill potential!

Decent. About the same level as Turkey, Croatia, Serbia etc.

Chile would not beat us.

France
Spain
Netherlands
Uruguay
Brazil
Argentina

They're probably the only sides realistically better than us, perhaps Portugal.

Potential world class players: Chambalain, Wilshere, McEachran, Sturridge, Adam Johnson (if given the opportunity to play consistently @ Man City), Welback, and Gibbs (if injuries permit)

When and if, these players fulfill their potentials, and are playes together, only then would England stand a chance to do well in International Tournaments.

Future England 11 in my eyes.

Hart

Walker
Jones
Smalling
Gibbs

Wilshere
Henderson
Cleverley

Rooney
Welbeck
Sturridge

My future England team would ßë:
---------------------Hart
Richards---Jones---Smalling---Gibbs
----------------Wilshere----------------
------Cleverly---------McEachran----
Sturridge--------------------Chamberlain
-----------------Welback----------

I'd put Henderson in there for definite. Developping into a good player and he's very young.

That midfield has the potential to run over any midfield out there.
It has lots of movement, energy, ball retention and the ability to pick a pass.

Wilshere would ßë like a Xavi, McEachran like Iniesta, Cleverly like Scholes.

McEachran has done nothing in the senior game in the Premier League though.

Henderson, Wilshere and Cleverley are all regulars when fit.

According to who? That's totally subjective.

Looking at it objectively will tell you which is the better player currently.

But he's never played first team football for an extended period of time, ergo Henderson is the more developed player.

Even the future England 11's look pretty average really.

Maybe they can be blended into a better team than the more recent England squads remains to be seen.

Still don't see the hype around McEchran and maintain that if he was not English his name would not be spoken about so highly.

Lastly, the expression 'pick a pass' which is thrown around by pundits like Jaimie Redknapp and others like him has unfortunately been picked up by posters, it's one of those that grinds my gears. If a player can't pass, know when or spot opportunities to do so should not be on the field to begin with. It's no great skill that's worth mentioning.

McEachran is a fantastic young talent. Has massive potential. Other fans seem to base young players on appearances rather than watching them play so Jones is the next big thing while McEachran is rubbish and overhyped.
