Why is it scandalous?

Getting £1 million for a player who'd walk away for nothing in 5 months is extremely good business sense.

People slated the Forest board for letting Wilson walk away for nothing, and the opposite has happened and we have got a very good price for Wes, and people are slating that decision too.

Well said Hoons.

Let's see if we bring anyone in. If we don't that will be scandalous. Hopefully a couple of defenders (Hill on loan, and Zakuani) and a goalscorer

Sorry, should have made it clearer.
It's scandulous that we've let him go. He should have had a new contract tied up long before now but hey, NFFC at its best!

Agree with that. We've got ND to thank for that mess!!

It is ND's fault in a way.

However, if we had gone up and Davies had done his job properly last season, some of these players that are now out of contract would of been shipped out at the beginning of the season as they would not of been Prem type players.

1M for Wes is good money.

Ando? He's the worst of the four out of contract players Strettea!
Definitely need Chambers (hopefully without the captaincy he'll return to last season's form), Lynchinho. I think I'm the only fan of McCleary, certainly in Upper Bridgeford anyway, so I won't bother suggesting him as well.

Snap their hand of for a mill though.

I think we need to use money on trying to stay in this league rather than rewarding those part of a team not currently keeping us up. They'll not sign new contracts in the last year unless they're ridiculously high (like Leicester are paying Wes) and nobody has earned that.

I said before we clearly need a centre half to cover Lynch and Chambers (preferably replacing not covering) and we need a centre mid who can bustle about and close down opposition.

If we do look to renew contracts of those 6 I'd put them in this order:
1) Lynch, a rare success this season, young and shouldn't be too expensive
2) Camp, if we stay up he's a match winner/saver
3) McGugan, not fussed but young, local and capable of better. Again it depends on what league we're in.
4) McCleary, I like him too and like Lynch has been decent, also young and not expensive. If we go down he moves to #2!
5) Chambers, have lost a lot of respect for him, like McGugan is capable of better but been disappointing.
6) Ando, meh

Is McGugan out of contract? I thought it was 2013 his expired? Maybe I'm wrong ...

McGugan and Camps contracts don't expire till the end of next season, so we need to give them new deals now to stop them running out. But lets face it, its not going to happen.

Well, you can see why we and they wouldn't be signing now so talking about them isn't worthwhile until we know what league we're in.

Really disappointed to hear this always liked Wes but anywho.. what do we do now?

A centre half would be nice! We've got none for the next game at the mo. Maybe Lascelles will get a debut - poor lad!

I believe that both Camp and McGugan are both contracted until 2013. Camp is supposed to be unhappy so I'm sure would have done a Wilson by now and signed a precontract with another club.

Stan Lee's right. Camp and McGugan still have a year.

Been told that Nigel Clough wants McGugan, putting a bid in the summer

Haha, it's not that bad yet. For him or us.
