Robbie has already proven that he is the greatest striker this corner of Europe has ever produced. His greatness will oly be appreciated when he retires. A true Irish legend.

I actually think he plays better for us when he's struggling with whatever club he's at!!!

He seems to take to the pitch with a something to prove mentality and this only spurs (excuse the pun) him on to go out there and score goals!!!

there is no excuse for that pun

Good international scorer without a doubt -if he had been about when Big Jack was in his heyday -early 90's who knows...,do you think he would have played better with big Niall or Aldo?

Yip Robbie will deffo go down in footballing history with the likes of Best, Law and Charlton lol............

I'm sure most Spurs fans rate him higher than Danny Blanchflower lol..................

He's still got more International goals than any player who has ever played or will play for NIreland (tick tock time running out... British 11 will become a reality in the next 5 years)

He's also one of the all time top scorers in the English Premiership. Not bad going

Rob -answer my bleeding question and dont get caught up in the anti NI stuff -you are better than that are you not.
Question again
do you think he would have played better with big Niall or Aldo?

As far as i'm aware he played alongside Quinn in his first few internationals.
I think he would have played better alongside Quinn than Aldridge. He would have been well capable of getting on the end of all the knockdowns from big Niall.

Aldridge like Robbie was a greedy striker so they would have just got in each other way

fair points, would have been good to see all 3 together with Chippy and Duff in their prime in the same team ,Keano & Whelan (Ronnie that is) holding the midfield-would be a hard ole team to beat,McGrath and Lawro with Shay behind them with Irwin and oh who do you think on the other side?

Kilbane!!! Only Joking i'd like to see Seamus Coleman in the right back position. Apparently David Moyes is going starting him there for Everton next season instead of Midfield.

Surely not Coleman in an all time 11? -not yet

I think that if Keano had benn playing under Charlton, he'd only have managed 25-35 goals by this stage. We had some World class players under Big Jack, but he never allowed them play to their potential. I also think that Aldo would have scored a lot more playing under McCarthy, Trap, Kerr etc...

Keane & Quinn led the line for the Euro 2000 & WC '02 qualifiers and in the finals of WC '02 also.

Places would have to be found for Dave Langan and Steve Heighway in any all time 11, Littlemick..

I'm sure Spurs fans must rate Robbie as their greatest ever striker lol..................

I have always wondered why Rednapp bought him back from Liverpool never to really play him again???

Johnny Giles anyone

What are you babbling about now Ulster by Birth. It must really annoy you that none of your fellow anti-ROI clowns from the BBC 606 site are on this site to back up your moronic comments

Robbie shut them up big time when he scored twice in the 5-0 rout against the North at the Aviva recently

As regards Spurs fans, yes at one time he was adored at White Hart Lane. He did manage to finish as their top scorer a few seasons ago. As is well documented he fell out of favour with Redknapp. It happens in Football.

As an ROI fan the main thing is it doesn't seem to have affected his performances for us

^^^^^^^lol........................

Scores agains N.I and Macedonia lol..............

I'm sure Brazil are keeking themselves about the great Keane lol.............

Lets see how many games he gets for Spurs lol.............

Good to see you're admitting your team are rubbish anyway
51 International goals (including 3 WC Finals goals)

posted on 26/6/11

^^^^^^yeah but has won?????

posted on 26/6/11

What Keane has won or has not won is totally irrelevant to this article!!
The great Geoff Hurst scored the only hat-trick ever in a World Cup in 1966 but like Robbie didn't win many medals in his club career

So going by your logic does this lack of trophies won at club level take from Hurst's acheivement.

Looking forward to your answer.

Meant to say Geoff Hurst scored the only hat-trick ever in a World Cup Final

Scores agains N.I and Macedonia lol..............

...................................................

You forgot to mention his goals against France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Italy which were all competitive games and none of which were at home.

I agree that Keano's scores against the poorer nations like NI, but he also scores against the top nations in the World.

Yes he has a habit of "conveniently" forgetting details like that.
The other NIreland poster seem to have laid off having a go at Robbie Keane but this clown still persists!!
