So are you quite knowledgeable about each team in the league? I only ask because I'd love to see a thread analysing what areas each team needs to improve in.
Yeah, fairly knowledgeable.
But I'm watching Whitechapel at the moment so I'll finish off the Mock Draft and address each team needs tomorrow.
Some good calls in their not sure I agree with all statements but that's just a matter of opinion!! I'll add the differences I'd make tomorrow maybe?
Btw I think Washington need a younger QB to rebuild around I'd go for Ryan Tannehill out of Texas A&M if it was my choice!! Assuming that luck and RG3 are gone!
Yeah, sure. That'd be good.
Shanahan doesn't have a history of working with young QB's. And they need to win now. So if Manning is available, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to get him.
No that's not a bad call but it's just my personal opinion of what should happen not what I'll happen.
Though I do agree I wouldn't be suprised to see Peyton there but maybe he will end up in miami?
Of course, everyone has differing opinions.
I actually think Matt Flynn will go to Miami because of Joe Philbin becoming the Head Coach. I'm guessing he'll be implementing the same system that he was part of in Green Bay where he's worked with Flynn.
This off season is gonna be interesting.
That would be a good move for Matt Flynn he definatly performed well against us D boys last time out. What about John Schnieder's influence at Seattle?? Wasn't its schneider who got Flynn in the first place even with rogers
With targets like Marshall and Fasano, I think it'd be a great move for Flynn.
Yeah, Schneider's got a reputation for being great at drafting players. Flynn was a 7th round pick I believe.
I think Schneider has done well, considering where they were when he took the job. Seattle have a lot of potential, they just need a stud QB.
Yeaah miami would be a bit of a force next year with the lineup?!! Especially with the likes of reggie bush at running back.
But your so right in really looking forward to this pre season! More than to actual season :S
Got hight hopes for the lions next year
They definetly would, and I think Joe Philbin was a great hire.
They've got the talent, I just think they were poorly coached last year.
Man, I cannot wait for March 13th!.
The NFC North is gonna be so tight next year. We may even see three playoff teams from that division.
Whats your opinion on the bears?? They weren't all that great and personally I'm not the biggest fan of Jay Cutler!! Nor ponder of the Vikings!!!
Yeaah with out doubt Miami will do big things this year!
So come on next year give me your play off predictions?? + we should make a nice early thread on that to get other opions then dig it up again during the season to see who was near!!
If they can keep Forte, (which I don't think they will) then they are legit playoff contenders. They were 7-3 I think before Cutler got injured which says alot.
I don't like Cutler either, mainly because of how he acted before he was traded. But I think he's a good QB.
Too early to tell with Ponder, he was thrown in midway through the season on a pisspoor team.
Good idea.
AFC:
1. Baltimore Ravens
2. New England Patriots
3. Houston Texans
4. San Diego Chargers
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
6. Miami Dolphins
NFC:
1. Green Bay Packers
2. New Orleans Saints
3. San Francisco 49ers
4. Philadelphia Eagles
5. New York Giants
6. Detroit Lions
Man, the NFC is so competitive.
I notice you don't have Denver up there?!!?
Yeaah was Forte injured much last year I have a hate for the bears so tend to ignore them?? But I dunno everytime I watched ponder I wanted to slap him worse than Smith!!
Remember to post that line up on the thread tomorrow!!
I'd go urrm
AFC;
1. Steelers
2. New England
3. Baltimore
4. Texans
5. Miami
6. Denver
NFC
1. Green Bay
2. Saints
3. San Fransico
4. Detroit Lions
5.New York Giants
6. South Carolina
I know Head says no, heart says yes.
I can only see one team from the AFC West getting to the playoffs and I don't see Philip Rivers having two bad years in a row.
Yeah, he missed the last four games I think and they didn't win any of them.
Understandable, they are historic rivals.
Haha, I honestly think he'll be a career back up but he's gotta be given a proper chance I guess.
Wahey, you've got Denver!
I think our defense next year will be great now we've hired Jack Del Rio as our DC.
I like those picks actually, especially Carolina. They're my sleeper team. But I just think the NFC is so damn competitive that they won't get in.
Yela...
Could you ask Admin 1 why there is a 5000 character limit for articles please?
Only, I'm guessing I'm going to be creating articles over the next few months on here that will take up more space than that.
Thanks.
I think I'm harsh but again I'm not a fan of rivers but I don't know why :S Yeaah I'd take forte through at the lions I don't rate best and well I've never seen leshoure play!!!
He gets a lot of bad press but big year for tebow next year! I don't actually mind him but he has to throw some good number next year which I think he will. ++ I love a bit of tebow magic :P
Went for Carolina because I wanted to go for some wildhorses as sport is never straight forward!! But I think Cam could really get going next year!
Why Denever btw???
Denver*
And yeah I'll ask but I don't want to over do the demands I wanna respect the bloke. Don't wanna annoy him and not get American Football the status it deserves on the site!!
Today's gone well though nearly a 100 comments not the board must be a record? + only got banned from two other sites in the process
I can't stand Rivers. Guys talented but a total a***
I'd love Forte at the Broncos, then I would believe we're a playoff contender. The guy has great vision and reminds me of Terrell Davis in some ways.
Best's Injury prone, which is a shame because I think he could be a dynamic weapon for the Lions. In the same way the Saints use Darren Sproles.
Next year is huge for Tebow, Elway has said he'll be the starter going into training camp, but it'll interesting to see who we bring in to compete alongside him.
I love Tebow more as a person than a player. I honestly don't see how anyone can dislike him. I know he gets all this media attention and most people are sick of it, but it's hardly his fault.
With a full off season as the starter and taking first team reps I think he can become a 'passing' Quarterback.
We'll see I suppose.
Miami is my wildhorse. I think it's 50/50 whether they get in. We'll see what moves they make in free agency and what not.
Years ago, like early 50's. My extended family moved from Ireland to America and settled in Denver and Connecticut.
So when I started to become interested in the NFL I thought Denver would be the team for me. My uncle is also a huge Broncos fan so I guess that's another reason. I could have supported New England I suppose because Connecticut is in the New England area, but I never really thought about that.
Anyway, I'm glad I chose my Broncos.
Why the Lions?
Completely understand mate.
Today has gone well. I've wanted to do Mock drafts and analysis for a while on here, but the board just never had enough posters. Hopefully that'll change now. If theirs anyway I can help just let me know.
Haha, worth it though?
