People on the Zone believe Chicksen is available to us.
Very frustrating with the timing of this news. I think we all expected more from Spurs, but I don't know why. It is football after all.
Chicksen was back and training with the team yesterday. I'd expect him to slot in at RB. Not ideal but...
Thats the problem with him doing so well in the FA Cup against QPR and the danger of loans.
It could be to do with the sale of Corluka and them needing cover. However the timing is bad but we just have to get on with it.Lets not forget Chicksen has never let us down and deserves his chance
Coming to Leeds. He's good then?
this highlights the lack of depth of the squad - no Beevers and now no Smith. We know we needed another person in defence, and now its two players.
Doumbe (if he is not suspended) may be better slotting in to Smiths place with the option of Lewie moving into a centre back position and Chicksen taking Lewies place. Or play McKenzie and and Flannigan in the centre with maybe Williams covering Smiths position.
Whichever way we go it will be a patch up and if we have another injury or suspension amongst the backs we will be in real trouble - not a solution for the rest of the season - and we really need to be aiming to take 3 points from each of the next two (tough) games.
Stoopo - he is really good. Will be a great asset to whoever lands him - and would thank him for his time here at Stadium MK and the joy he brought to the fans with his skill COYD
Am I right in thinking that although the transfer deadline is today, lower league teams can still do loan deals for longer?
he has just joined us (Leeds United) on season loan with view to permanent deal in the summer which is maybe why they recalled him as no disrespect but it would have been unlikely MK could have bought him from spurs.
Agreed though the way Spurs went about things doesnt sound great.
Pretty fuming that he's left us to go on loan somewhere else. Shocking shocking shocking way to do business.
Great for Leeds though.
Moo,remember I said on here I had heard this was happening, can't believe I got it right 2weeks ago.good for leeds as he is a special young player but sorry for mk as I want you to take the 2nd auto leaving the 3 Yorkshire clubs fighting it out for 1 place only for a good Stevenage team taking it
you were indeed spot on superwhites, and as I said then I would be devastated if he moved...and I am. However you cannot blame him or Spurs. Just hope your owner actually dips into his pocket at the end of the season.
Money wise we know we cannot compete (yet) with the bigger clubs. But I think because of the style of play we have, bigger clubs are happy to send their players here to get good playing time. When the chips are down though, they look after themselves.
Dan Bates Out the man is right we could not have bought him from Spurs and with Leeds he is guaranteed championship games and if you go up he will in all likely hood be joining you full time. Good luck and fingers crossed we can overcome your compatriots in our league
Strange way to do things by Spurs but then the manager is on trial at the moment.Maybe Redknap knows Bates well as they are both dodgy characters. Can honestly see no point in him going to Leeds when he is ready for the prem
no point in him going to Leeds when he is ready for the prem
.........
Then on that point why did he go to L1 if he is ready for prem?we have hardly been out of top 6 all season and you have a chance if you finish there.we have brought in 4 players from prem this month,Townsend delph and now smith, all 3 young and exciting talents that will give us a good chance.
Townsend was with us for a while as well - and again he was good. We've had good ones from Spurs, maybe Bale needs to be showcased before the end of the season, he is welcome here
As a Leeds fan, I have to agree; any reason this couldn't have been sorted a few days ago to give you guys time to find a replacement. Still, it seems you thought highly of him, as you are disappointed to lose him, so I am sure he will do well in his step up to Championship football. Nevertheless, as someone who until recently lived just up the A5, I wish you guys all the best this season; hope you can find someone to fill his spot by the end of today.
I can't see Robbo on his mobile while the match is on and the rest of the players will need to pull together as they will know its not going to easy.
Adam Smith will do well attacking but I fear his defensive abilities will be put to the test in the Championship
I bet Adam is glad hes joined Leeds now!!
