We'll be broke.
It's gonna be skill.
Maybe a season out of Europe would be good for us. Allow our injury prone players to get a better rest and also clear out players who arent good enough.
Maybe also open the board ad managers eyes so that they can see we are useless.
Ste, What affect will Arry's prison sentence have on your club within the next 6 months - 1 year?
Basically we're focked. Ivan the terrible would have you believe that it won't make much difference, but he's a liar.
Truth is, this will have a domino effect. We won't qualify, out top players will leave. Other top player won't want to come. We fail to qualify again. We end up as the new West Ham.
I think Arsenal's biggest problem (no wumming here) will be attracting players &/or keeping hold of existing ones (ie. RVP) without CL footy.
Its like the chicken & the egg. Its difficult to get CL footy without CL players & its difficult to get CL players without CL footy.
We won't be broke just yet!
But it will trigger the biggest exodus in the history of football!
And then it will get worse because I can't see the board re-invest large amount of money to get news talented players!
Fubo - Cant see 'Arry getting sent down but even if he does, i cant see the team being affecting too much. But thanks for the concern. Arry might be the man behind the motivation the team has but why do you lot think the team will fall to pieces if he gets sent down???? Levy will just get another manager in with CL credentials and we will see what happens..
You really should be more concerned with how your lot are going to keep competing, which is why i asked the question. I wasnt WUMing, just asking your views. Banter aside, i dont think the North London derby will be the same for a while.
I believe AC Milan fell out of the top 4 a few seasons ago. But yes it would be a disaster. Expect to see a huge trimming of the wage bill. There wont be any serious investment either.
"But it will trigger the biggest exodus in the history of football!"

If only IAwt.
Failure to make the top 4 will almost certainly guarantee keeping hold of the likes of Park, Chamakh, Fabianski, Djourou, Vela and possibly even Denilson and Bendtner.
We might even find making Benayoun stay permanent to be our "marquee" signing of the summer.
Oh joy.
So in terms of numbers, whats the loss of CL footy?? £30m-£40m.. Attendances??
All because an arrogant, conceited Frenchman refuses to see beyond his hubris and spend some fecking money.
It wont affect us because of the gate revenue
If it was 4/5 years ago it would have had a massive affect
However rumours at the emirates suggest there will be an increase in ticket prices
We already pay the most expensive tickets in the world.
Going to be chaos at the emirates
People have to realise if you give up your ST you have to start again ie Red memeber!
Thats why these old Arsenal fans are so angry who have been going 20/30 years they cant afford to renew their season tickets and when they do they arent getting value for money
Attendances? Who'd know?
It's always a "full house" at the Emirates... according to the announcer at least.
I often here that CL football is 40m a season. Attendances will also drop I reckon by as much as 10% at the minimum. I think we'd lose 45m.
You have to pay the ST in a one off payment as well June the 1st
There is no direct debit option.
People are losing jobs, etc the economy has affected people
The only way Arsenal can compete is by selling players
Our commercial/sponsorship deals are poor
Lexington because tickets are prepaid ie ST!
Season tickets are generally cheaper than being a red or silver member over 19 games
basically the money we earned from the fabregas and nasri sells we will lose
"But it will trigger the biggest exodus in the history of football!"

Sorry, I should have added exodus of the good players:
RVP, Sagna, Kos, etc...
And yes, we will have more deadwood whom would be happy just to collect theirs cheques every week!
OK.. im gonna say this once and i wont repeat it.
I hope Arsenal get 4th this season instead of Chelsea.. not because i hate Arsenal any less than Chelsea but for the sake of PL football and the competition. Chelsea can buy themselves out of losing out on PL footy but for Arsenal it would be a real issue.
Unless of course Newcastle get 4th.. Then you can both rot!!
Vermaelen, wilshere, szczesny have signed new long contracts etc
RVP, Sagna, Song their contracts are running down.
There will be alot of changes soon the lockdown agreement expires in May there will be new memebers in the board
Plus guys like Fabianski, Almunia will be off contracts expired, lots of changes on and off the field
But Wenger will remain he wont get sacked cause it would cost £18M
Liverpool have been in and out of the champions league in recent times and are in "transition"... Spurs have made the one cameo in the competition in and all of a sudden are European juggernauts...
Arsenal might not make the cut this year, although it's anything but cut and dried and all of a sudden Arsenal are on the brink of being the biggest sinking ship since that Italian captain tripped off of the Concordia into his lifeboat......
Makes me laugh... Anyway it's not looking good, the problem is with the board, of that I'm pretty sure, it will take something like no champs league and maybe even fans voting with their feet to make a positive change.
Banter aside, i dont think the North London derby will be the same for a while.
----------------------------------------------------------
After half a season
Fickle as they come. If we had that mind set, We would say the NLD hasnt been the same for the last 10+ years because you have never come above us in that time
John
True a season ticket DOES work out cheaper over the course of a season. But as you've already said yourself, it's likely to be even more expensive to attend next season; ST holders don't have the option of paying via standing orders; and so not only will attendances dip because of that, but the uptake by red, silver and gold members will dip as well.
Attendances will definitely suffer.
IAwt
Yeah, sorry fella, I did get what you meant about refering to the Van Persies and Songs of the squad, rather than the deadwood.
Not sure why I didn't state that better. My bad.
We are only 5 points behind Chelsea but 12 points behind spurs lol
Incredible when you think back to the game at white hart lane where I thought we were the better team controlled play despite having alot of players out
Arsenal might not make the cut this year, although it's anything but cut and dried and all of a sudden Arsenal are on the brink of being the biggest sinking ship since that Italian captain tripped off of the Concordia into his lifeboat......

I think we have been sinking prior to that tragedy!
It could be the other way around, maybe the captain is an arsenal fans and couldn't bare to see his team slightly going down the table!
