Van Persie, that's about it.

However, depends what your definition of world class is. In my opinion, even Man Utd only have two players: Vidic and Rooney.

I find it ironic as they claim we do it with players like Wilshere and they do exactly the same with Bale.

Both quality players with bags of potential but far too early to put them in that bracket.

Agreed, to place £150million price tag on Bale is absolutely ridiculous.

I don't rate all of our players as world class.

Fabianski is rubbish, the rest are world class.

It is strange, because like you, all I see is "Ramsey is rubbish", "Walcott is rubbish", "Mertesacker is rubbish" "Arshavin is rubbish" etc etc articles.

I think it is because of the WUM articles comparing Arsenal players to, usually United but sometimes other teams players.

If true, why is it ridiculous? You have teams, probably just two, in Real and certainly Man City who would love to buy Bale. If you consider the level of money pumped into Man City to garner success as soon as possible, then affording to spend 100m or more for Gareth Bale is well within their budget. Spurs prize asset, should be valued at a premium and if theres a team with far more money than sense, then the "ridiculous" price tag should be applied.

RVP is your one and only world class player, the rest are not. Not Vermaelen, Koscielny, Song, Sagna, says nay, Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, none of them. Only RVP is

Um because for £150M you're not far off having Ronaldo and Messi, that's why it's ridiculous.

That and because it's just ridiculous

'If true, why is it ridiculous?'

Pretty much double the price of Ronaldo... Surely that's enough to explain?

I presume from your limited response, you dont understand the economics of supply and demand....

I think the problem is the Arsenal fans who watch in high definition. Too much was made OD Chesney early doors, a keeper should be less judged on great saves and more on solidity, same with defenders in fact.

Those that stood on the terraces at Highbury would recognise that a decent defence, organisation, work rate, and commitment can get you 95% there. Then you need to have some class.

Arsenal used to have balance, Adams and Keown to Bergkamp and Henry. Even the odd Vieira that was a blend of the two.

Alas, too many fans now get carried away by the flair and don't recognise that you need the spirit!

three years ago Real paid 80 million. what do you think he would be worth now if at the same age? 80 million? no, more, probably 100 million plus.

As for Messi, do you really think Barca would sell their best player, the worlds best player for 150 million? or 4 x Andy Carrol?

If true, if only RVP is world class, then as it stands just now, ManU doesn't have any! Ferdinand past his best and Vidic injured so god knows when and how he will be back!
Rooney is far overrated!

But Bale is far far away from the same league as Ronaldo and Messi, proven at the top level!

Bale is Berbatov MkII, standing out in a ok-good team, still a very good player but in terms of supply and demand there's a decent supply of pacy wingers who don't score any goals.

If Bale is so good why is he still at Spurs, you think they'd turn down £50M for him?

I don't think there's anyway anyone could justify a £150 million price tag on Bale.

What does world class even mean, perhaps playing for your national side? Or are there only 11 world class players in the world, one in each position? If you have potential to improve you can't be considered world class?

Firstly I was not the one comparing him to Ronaldo or Messi and imo, living here in Spain, Ronaldo, does not come close to Messi.

Yes they would because of his value to Spurs. Cant you see that its not what others value him at but what is his value to Spurs...hence the supposed valuation placed on his head by his club...

and your other remarks are simply childish.....

Spurs are a brilliant side at the moment, but Bale needs to add consistency to his undoubted quality and I think until that talent is fully developed we shouldn't be talking about figures close to the same as Ronaldo.

id say a world class player is someone who is one of the top 5 players in their position in the world. which is not
