we couldve beat them ffs theyre only humans
I hate this myth about barcelona, so what if they beat us sure the boys could learn a thing or 2 if they were actually miles better?
They were really good when I watched them. Quality team, but not unbeatable.
Can I borrow your time machine when you're finish?
The actual result bears no meaning! The whole point of the competition is to give the younger generation the chance, and experience playing at a higher level.
I can tell you now the entire nextgen squad is gutted now they cannot play one of the finest teams, with one of the best academies in the world.
It's not about results, about the next generation, hence the name of the tournament.
"They were really good when I watched them. Quality team, but not unbeatable."
EVERY match in the NextGen group stages, the opponents tried to play proper football. Home and away. The Spurs kids responded in kind, and obviously thrive in it.
Tis not about the winning, tis about the opportunity.
No different for our kids to how it was for the seniors getting to play Inter/AC Milan, and Real Madrid.
I'm so confused, I thought we won?
We did, but we pulled out before we was kicked out.
Oh, nightmare, what did we do?
Being a bit thick here, can someone actually explain to me in laymens terms about this Nextgen thing, cos i don't get it! Why have we pulled out basically?! thanks

We discovered we had broken the competition rules by fielding an ineligible player in the quarter final game with Liverpool, so we did the right thing by pulling out before we were booted out. Hope that helps
Was it one of the subs ??
How bloody ironic would that be.
We only brought them on cos the Poool started to go all "tall kids vs litte kids" in the final 15 mins.
Beyond the official media statement, the club are attempting to hush it up, but it is strongly rumoured it was the substitute Bentaleb who was ineligible.
"it is strongly rumoured it was the substitute Bentaleb who was ineligible"
Suspect twas one of the two subs (whose names I'd not seen on the sheet for any of the four kids games' I've seen) .
As I said, only had to bring them on cos the Poool were trying to out-muscle our ickle kids. Would have been no need if twas one of our group opponents (technical ball players etc) .
